Registration for the conference is open!!!
On behalf of Dr. Andrea Shields and the OBLS Team, we invite you to join us for the First Annual OBLS Virtual Conference highlighting the “Emerging Topics in Maternal Cardiac Arrest”. The conference is scheduled for Friday, June 2, 2023 from 10:00am EST – 6:00pm EST. There is no cost associated with registering for the conference, unless you are interested in receiving CME credit.
This conference will explore emerging topics, trends and treatments of maternal medical emergencies and maternal cardiac arrest. The target audience are healthcare professionals from pre-hospital and hospital-based sectors across the United States that care for reproductive-age women. Invited speakers include experts in maternal mortality, cardio obstetrics, resuscitation, maternal stroke and emergency response. Topics are wide-ranging and include discussions on emerging topics in severe maternal morbidity and mortality, modifications of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in pregnancy, special procedures such as extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation used in pregnancy, postpartum maternal cardiac arrest, and preparing first responders for maternal medical emergencies.
Our keynote speaker is Dr. Mary D'Alton, a nationally recognized Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. Dr. D'Alton is the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University and the Chief Obstetrician and Gynecologist at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. D'Alton specializes in work on maternal deterioration and the use of early warning systems to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.
