'Other findings in this study were that adults who had been formula-fed as children had a less diverse microbiome in adulthood. Katerina commented: 'This is the first time this has been investigated in adults and the results suggest that infant nutrition may have long-term consequences for gut health.'”

Sociable people have a higher abundance of certain types of gut bacteria and also more diverse bacteria, an Oxford University study has found.

Researchers at UCSF and UC Davis have discovered a hormone, produced EXCLUSIVELY DURING LACTATION, that strengthens bones and protects them during the low estrogen state of lactation. They're calling it Maternal Brain Hormone!

A newly discovered hormone explains why females can maintain bone density during lactation, when calcium is stripped away to make milk. This discovery could one day have applications to treating fractures, osteoporosis, and other bone diseases.
