Athena Health Care Systems has been Southern New England’s leader in continuum of care services since 1984. Headquartered in Farmington, Connecticut, Athena provides skilled nursing care and short-term, post-hospital care and rehabilitation in our health care centers, as well as hospice care and private duty program services right in the comfort of your own home. Athena is a recognized leader in senior care in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, specializing in orthopedic and pulmonary rehabilitation and medically complex care. Most centers also offer an array of services and programs to varying populations, including Alzheimer’s and memory care, as well as speech, occupational, and physical therapy specialists. Not only do residents receive the highest quality of care, but the centers also keep residents social and engaged through activity programs and offer delicious and healthy meals for residents to enjoy. Thousands of people are cared for by our team across dozens of towns and cities in Southern New England each year. Athena operates 28 skilled nursing facilities as well as four hospice agencies and a private duty program.

Today was our official Adopt-A-Family drop-off day through the Salvation Army, and our hearts couldn’t be fuller.

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of our incredible team, we were able to deliver 3 bags of gifts, hope, and holiday cheer to a family in our community. Moments like these remind us what the season is truly about—coming together to lift others up and making sure no family feels forgotten.

We are so grateful to everyone who contributed. Your compassion shines far beyond the workday, and because of you, one family will experience a brighter, warmer holiday season.

Thank you for helping us make a difference, one act of kindness at a time.

A big thank-you to the Oxford team for representing us at the Greater Haverhill Chamber’s 7th annual Dodgeball Tournament for the second year in a row, hosted by the Haverhill YMCA. All proceeds supported the YMCA’s Giving Tree to benefit local youth.

This year, the event raised enough funds and toy donations to ensure every child on the Giving Tree list was covered. We’re proud to support such an impactful community effort.
