Due to the high volume of LIHEAP applications received, some clients may soon receive notice that their application has been placed on a waitlist.
So what does that mean? ⬇️
If you have submitted your application and all required documents, your application is on file and will be reviewed according to program guidelines as funding becomes available.
Being waitlisted does not mean your application has been denied.
Your application remains active, no additional documents are needed, and it will be processed based on household need—and not necessarily in the order it was received, per state guidelines.
⚡ Important Reminder:
Please continue paying your utility bill until your benefit has been applied to your account—even if you receive an approval notice.
At this time, we are unable to provide specific processing timelines.
