Wellness journey- I took a bad fall on our driveway last fall on black ice. My work ethic sometimes, detrimental to my health, led me to work in pain without proper care to my own body. Flash forward spring. It actually started feeling like the inflammation was decreasing but the discomfort increased. Kept working 50+ hours and not following the advice I give my clients. July hit me like a freight truck. Herniated discs L3-5, S1, and cyst on my spine, stenosis and arthritis. I sought out care. I could not step on my right foot without excruciating pain. Kept working when I could. I went through the protocol of drug therapy, physical therapy, ice, heat, light therapy before I was allowed to do or wanted to do surgery. Well here we are. Surgery is 10/23 and I wish it was yesterday. My quality of life has been burdened for many months and I and my loved ones, and our clients are looking forward to this solution. Please send a prayer if you subscribe, and my husband David Todd will keep you abreast of the success on this page. Thank you for your continued support. Classes will continue with the awesome team I have so please continue to come while I’m recovering. I learned my lesson on recovery so I will do that. I’ll do my best to teach Monday-Wednesday and see you all but you know I’ll be back with lots of new programs asap. Love you all. Terri Waffner Todd

As a healer, I'd like to share a personal story. Throughout my career, my focus has been on empowering clients to achieve mental and physical strength, thereby facilitating their healing process and overall well-being. However, I neglected my own self-care. Following a severe fall on our icy driveway last fall, I prioritized my clients' needs over my own, which has resulted in 12 weeks of suffering from herniated discs, arthritis, a spinal cyst, and stenosis. Despite the challenges, I've been fortunate to have a supportive team and understanding clients. Recently, I underwent a nerve block procedure, which, although imperfect, has offered some relief from the excruciating pain. My takeaway from this experience is that neglecting one's own well-being will inevitably have consequences. Moving forward, I aim to reorganize my priorities, ensuring that my team is equipped to provide exceptional service, allowing me to step back and focus on my own health.
