At Healing Fern, we acknowledge that the roots of our healing practices are intertwined with Black wisdom, resilience, and beautiful ancestral knowledge. 🙏🏼 Sending our deepest gratitude for the Black communities who’ve carried and shaped these traditions forward, too often in the face of injustice. With reverence and solidarity, we celebrate Black freedom and joy❤️🖤💚💛

This will be a creative therapeutic workshop and hopefully the first of many to come✨ Chakras are such a great way to explore life through a colorful lens. We’ll focus on the 7 main energy centers in the body, what they mean in our lives, how to balance them and how to incorporate art and yoga as a way to understand ourselves better. ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

🔸What is Ayurveda? Ayur = life. Veda= wisdom/science. It is known as the "Science of Life, or the "Mother of all Healing", and is the beautiful sister science to Yoga. Ayurveda was created around 5,000 years ago and is a nature based approach to healing that we can still apply in our modern day lives!

🔸You’re encouraged to meet yourself where you are during this workshop and honor your wellness journey as we dive into everything Ayurveda! You’ll learn inspiring ways to look at your health and explore your inner wisdom through the lens of Ayurveda. Learn healthy ways to “fill your cup” through these ancient self-care practices and traditions.

🔸We'll focus on basic Ayurveda fundamentals that help establish healthy daily habits to live a meaningful life according to your unique mind/body constitution (Dosha). You’ll be able to learn your Dosha through an Ayurvedic Questionnaire that we’ll send to you after you’re signed up for the workshop.

🔸Towards the end of the workshop, we'll practice a short Dosha inspired yoga asana sequence. Light snacks and hot tea will also be provided for you to enjoy as well as some important journal prompts💗📝 You’ll also get to take home some Ayurvedic oils, tea and a hydrosol!🌿⚗️💦
