I am super excited to be part of The Sacred Self Care Gathering event, which will be held in Loveland. This event is a heart-centered in-person experience devoted to restoration, nourishment, and intentional care for your whole being.

Step out of the rush of daily life and into a calming, supportive space where your mind, body, and spirit are invited to slow down, soften, and receive.

This is a day thoughtfully designed for deep replenishment — a chance to reconnect with yourself through gentle practices, healing experiences, and soul-nurturing community.

Throughout the event, a group of skilled vendors and practitioners may offer a range of services and offerings free or at a low fee. There will be a group sound bath at 1 PM.

The vendors and practitioners include:

It’s here. My final book cover.

I am beyond excited to share this moment with you. Thank you to everyone who offered feedback, ideas, encouragement, and support along the way. Your input truly helped shape this.

Right now I am in the final review of the manuscript before it is due on March 19th. After that, it moves into technical edits with my editor, which means we are getting very close.

For so many years, the idea of writing a book lived in the back of my mind. It was something I rarely talked about but often dreamed about, and wondered if I would ever actually do.

Now it has a name. It has a cover. And inside it are stories, lessons, and pieces of my life that I have poured my heart into.

I will be honest, the process has brought moments of deep vulnerability. There are times I feel scared putting so much of my story out into the world. And then there are moments where I step back and feel incredibly proud that I stayed with it and brought this project to life.

Now that it is really taking shape, I will start sharing more about it in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Why do you eat?

It isn't often anymore, but I know I will emotionally eat, especially when stressed. I will also eat out of habit...which means I'm not always hungry.

There are 6 hunger cues driving most of our eating — and not all of them are true physical hunger.

✨ Empty Stomach
True physical hunger. A gentle growl. A hollow feeling. The kind of hunger that builds gradually. The truth? Most of us rarely allow ourselves to actually feel this anymore.

✨ Low Blood Sugar
This one feels urgent. Shaky. Irritable. “Hangry.” It’s your body asking for stabilization — not punishment. Not guilt. Just nourishment.

✨ Emotional Hunger
This hunger doesn’t grow in your stomach — it rises in your chest. Stress. Loneliness. Celebration. Boredom. Food becomes comfort, distraction, reward, or relief. It’s not weakness. It’s unmet emotion.

✨ Thirst
Sometimes what feels like hunger is simply dehydration. A headache. Fatigue. Brain fog. Your body whispers for water… and we hand it snacks instead.

✨ Nutritional Deprivation
When your body lacks key nutrients, cravings get loud. Salt. Sugar. Crunch. Your system is smart — it’s trying to fill a gap.

✨ Lack of Variety
We crave novelty. New flavors. Different textures. Eating the same “healthy” foods on repeat can spark the desire to wander. Variety isn’t indulgence — it’s biology.

The goal isn’t to judge the cue.
It’s to recognize it.

When you understand why you’re eating, you shift from autopilot to awareness.
And awareness changes everything. 💛

Last night I said yes to something I normally avoid…

A Paint & Sip with Kitties. 🐾🎨

 I usually skip these because I don’t consider myself a “good” painter. But I went anyway.

And it was so much fun.

Did I make mistakes? Absolutely.
In the lower left corner I somehow ended up with a blob of black paint that was not part of the plan. 😅

So I added more color. I blended. 

And you know what?

It doesn’t look bad at all.

What made this night even more special was that almost everyone painted something different — even the horse in our group had its own personality. There was no “right” version. Just creativity, laughter, and being willing to try.

Here’s your reminder:

✨ Say yes to what makes you a little uncomfortable.
✨ Say yes even if you’re not “good” at it.
✨ Say yes because fun and growth rarely live inside your comfort zone.

Otherwise, you might miss out on joy you didn’t even know you needed.

What’s one thing you’ve been avoiding because you don’t think you’re “good enough”? 💫
