Ah… desserts.

I remember learning how to spell desert vs. dessert as a kid…
Dessert has two “s’s” because you always want seconds.

So true… or at least it used to be for me.

Now? I rarely have dessert, even at family gatherings.
When the dessert is passed around, I simply say, “No thank you.”

Yes…it can be that simple.

Because when you start to identify as someone who doesn’t need dessert, the decision gets easier.

That doesn’t mean you can never have dessert.
When we go out, rarely will I have dessert but when I do...we share.

Food choices are not about restriction.
It’s about awareness and choice.

If you do choose dessert, take a moment.
Look at the menu. There are always better options.

One Chocolate Tower Truffle dessert is about the amount of calories I eat in one serving for the entire day! And most people have that AFTER they've eaten a meal.

Small shifts… big impact. 💛

You’ve probably heard it all about this food…
“It causes inflammation.”
“It’s not good for you.”
“You should avoid it.”
"It's too sweet, it will cause cravings."

But let’s be real for a second…

Most of us aren’t even close to getting the recommended 5–10 servings of vegetables a day.
What we are getting?
A lot of processed food.

So before we start labeling whole foods as “good” or “bad”…
Let’s zoom out.

👉 A whole food will almost always be a better choice than something processed.

That’s the first step.
Not perfection. Not elimination. Just a better choice.

Once you’ve reduced the processed foods…
then we can fine-tune what works best for your body.

Because here’s the truth:
Nutrition is bio-individual.
What works for one person may not work for another.

Small, intentional steps.
That’s how real change happens. 💛

My coaching philosophy isn’t built on perfection… because perfection isn’t realistic for most of us.

It’s built on education, awareness, and learning how to make better choices.

Do I encourage whole foods? Absolutely.
And… canned and frozen options can still be great choices when used wisely.

Take soup, for example. It’s often chosen as a “healthy” option because it’s lower in calories. But when you look more closely at the label, one can contains nearly twice the recommended daily sodium intake.

That’s where awareness changes everything.

Small shifts, made consistently over time, create real, lasting results.
Learning how to read labels helps you stair-step your habits, so you naturally begin to avoid excess sugar, high sodium, and overly processed ingredients.

This isn’t about doing it perfectly. It’s about doing it better, one choice at a time.
