Rise Festival - Day three!

This day was damn near perfect! The weather was gorgeous, we got some great outfit pics, we met up with and , enjoyed the lantern festival from a different view, and ended up on the rail for and . They both rocked it.

I never understood the John Mayer hype. I’m starting to get it now. He’s great to watch live. His banter is fun. I love watching him interact with the band members. They’re just up there having fun. I could go on and on, but I’m going to leave it at - I’d go to a third concert. 😄

Day two of Rise was a much needed day, and this might be my favorite outfit!

It worked out perfectly. Due to a rough day/night before, we didn’t arrive until 5:30ish. Once we got there, it was time to settle down next to our torch and write our intentions on our lanterns. The mood was quiet and peaceful. It was very serene, light settled into dark, and coolness fell over the desert.

The Lantern Ceremony was beautiful. It took Mo and I a few tries to figure out our lanterns, but we finally got them up and floating!

We stayed for Disclosure, and a little bit of Calvin Harris. The graphics were AMAZING for both, and added a lot of color to the night sky.

Day two was pretty perfect. We left early and took a drive down the Vegas Strip. It was a great ending to the day we needed. 😁

- day one - was a time to remember!

Momo and I spent the first day fighting a wind and sand storm. I’ve never seen an entire stage almost completely disappear! We still got to see . I was happy the show still went on since that’s who I was most excited about seeing. I’ll take that as our win for the day.

Overall day one was a mess. No lantern ceremony, the wind and dust did not play nicely, and it took us about two hours to get out of the parking lot. The crowd was a much younger crowd as well. We are definitely not use to that - it’s just different.

Rufus was still awesome and gave me the second wind I needed to make it through!

Day two of Pilgrimage!

Hot as hell today, but we had a great time!

Started the day by meeting some new concert friends, and hauling ass down a hill in a skirt and full makeup to get on the rail! Made it. Didn’t die! Haha!

I loved the artists today! totally rocked out! She knows how to put on a performance and the crowd loves it!

Young the Giant put on a rockin’ show per usual - danced my ass off to Silvertongue and My Body!

I finally got to see what the hype is all about - was NOT disappointed at all! Momo made me a fantastic playlist, so I’ve been listening! I really had a great time! He totally jams, and I just get lost in the music. Thanks to Mo I knew almost every song! He has a new fan now and Mo has a new JM concert buddy!

Day one of Pilgrimage!

The weather was beautiful and the music kept the people dancing and having fun!

I heard artists such as Maggie Rose, Father John Misty, and Turnpike Troubadours. Of these three, I enjoyed Father John Misty the most.

closed out the day! They jammed out and put on a great hometown show!

At the end of day one I was ready for some rest, and excited about day two!
