This feels like such an important message. "Survival you" is not the real you...

When we are in survival, our brain goes into protection mode. In that space, a couple things happen...

Connection with others is much harder (often times leading to shame and isolation).

Stress hormones elevate (dysregulating learning, sleeping, and eating).

The person forged in that environment has characteristics that got you to where you are today. Some of which have become incredible strengths and others that are NOT serving you well anymore.

You're allowed to outgrow - and leave behind - those parts of you that no longer align with the life you are creating.
