Timothy “Tim” Simmons, 61, of Sand Fork, West Virginia, passed away on March 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Tim was a devoted man who lived life to the fullest, filled with love, laughter, and a passion for adventure.
A lifelong Harley Davidson enthusiast, Tim spent many hours riding his motorcycle, embracing the freedom of the open road. He also loved the thrill of riding side-by-sides, often venturing into the outdoors and making memories with those closest to him. Tim's greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family. Whether he was sharing a quiet moment with loved ones or playing with his grandchildren, he always made time for those he held dear.
Tim was a proud Pentecostal by faith, finding comfort and strength in his beliefs. Music was another great love of his, especially the timeless sounds of Meat Loaf, whose powerful music mirrored Tim’s own vibrant spirit.
He is survived by his fiancé, Connie Carpenter; sons Terry and Josh Simmons; stepdaughter Heather Jamison; stepson Joshua Minney; brother Dale Simmons; sisters Drema Justice, Karen Maxey, and Linda Simmons; and his beloved grandchildren, Ben, Stephen, Luke, Alex, Izzy, Juliet, Liam, Gage, Joshua, Holden, and Isaiah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Loretta Jean Simmons, and brother, Philip Simmons, and by other brothers and sisters.
Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, faith, and adventure will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Service for Tim will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Stockert Funeral Home, 378 Flatwoods Corner Road, Flatwoods, WV. Pastor Bryan Groves will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. before the service. Burial will follow the service at Braxton Memorial Cemetery, Airport Road, Sutton, WV.
