Flourishing Families first Marriage Mentor Training was a success! Flourishing Families is a project of Helping Florence Flourish. The purpose of the project is to strengthen marriages, promote intentional parenting and equip parents for family discipleship. Flourishing Families seeks to build the Kingdom in Florence one family at a time.

Birds & Bees: Join us from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in the sanctuary for a parent education talk with nationally known speaker Mary Flo Ridley, who will equip parents of young children to have successful dialogs about s*x. This talk is for parents of children of all ages — from toddlers to teens — and focuses on simple, everyday conversations rather than “one big talk.” You’ll leave feeling prepared, empowered, and relieved. Childcare will be provided for children from nursery to 2 years old, 3K–5K, and first–fifth grade during this event. The Birds & the Bees Family Ticket for $20 admits two adults to the event and is perfect for parents or family members attending together. Tickets are available for purchase online:

Families need prayer now more than ever.

On March 5, Helping Florence Flourish will host a Family Prayer Blessing as part of our First Thursday gathering. This will be a simple space to slow down, pray together, and receive encouragement and prayer from local pastors and ministry leaders.

Join us for the March Helping Florence Flourish Prayer gathering. The focus will be families! We will meet at the Timrod Park Gazebo. Pastors will pray over families for the purpose of strengthening the Kingdom in Florence. When families flourish, the city prospers!

It was a beautiful day for lunch outside after worship ☀️ The Flourishing Families team met for fellowship and a ministry update at the Trailhead. We visited, encouraged one another and enjoyed delicious food while the kids played. Community and such a blessing!
