I gave up alcohol over 10 years ago to help me lose weight and focus more deeply on my own healing journey. In truth, I don’t miss it. My life and health have since improved ten fold for this and other reasons I live what I preach and what a dear friend taught me: “You have to feel it, to heal it.” Lots of things can get in the way of “feeling it”, not just alcohol- shopping, our phones, eating until we’re numb, gaming, p**n, chronic anger, staying overly busy. Life is stressful and relaxation is important to health.
