✨ Client Birth Story ✨
On October 16th at 8am Bridget and Sterlin went in for their scheduled elective induction. When arriving to the hospital Bridget was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced and baby was in a high station. At 8:15am they began the induction process with a cooks catheter and started a low dose of pitocin shortly after. I arrived at 2:30pm and they were napping. After waking up I began to get the room ready in a peaceful relaxing setting and we started some labor prep. We done a couple different positions and Bridget found it most comfortable to sit on the ball while me and Sterlin rotated out massaging her back, doing counter pressure on her lower hips, and using a heat pack. They also done some walking around in the hallway. At 7:19pm the balloon came out and after consent they broke her water. She was 4cm dilated and 70% effaced. At 8:40pm Bridget decided she wanted the epidural and at 9:20pm she had it placed. After the epidural Bridget was able to get a little rest and we all was joking around & talking. About 10:30pm Bridget was feeling a lot of pressure and knew the time was coming to deliver her sweet baby girl. At 10:50pm she told me to go get the nurse to let them know she felt like it was time. At 11:03pm she began pushing and after pushing for 16 minutes at 11:19pm Harper Olivia was born weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches long.
This birth was amazing and I am so glad I was apart of it! 🫶🏼
