✨ Client Birth Story ✨

On October 16th at 8am Bridget and Sterlin went in for their scheduled elective induction. When arriving to the hospital Bridget was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced and baby was in a high station. At 8:15am they began the induction process with a cooks catheter and started a low dose of pitocin shortly after. I arrived at 2:30pm and they were napping. After waking up I began to get the room ready in a peaceful relaxing setting and we started some labor prep. We done a couple different positions and Bridget found it most comfortable to sit on the ball while me and Sterlin rotated out massaging her back, doing counter pressure on her lower hips, and using a heat pack. They also done some walking around in the hallway. At 7:19pm the balloon came out and after consent they broke her water. She was 4cm dilated and 70% effaced. At 8:40pm Bridget decided she wanted the epidural and at 9:20pm she had it placed. After the epidural Bridget was able to get a little rest and we all was joking around & talking. About 10:30pm Bridget was feeling a lot of pressure and knew the time was coming to deliver her sweet baby girl. At 10:50pm she told me to go get the nurse to let them know she felt like it was time. At 11:03pm she began pushing and after pushing for 16 minutes at 11:19pm Harper Olivia was born weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces and 20 inches long.

This birth was amazing and I am so glad I was apart of it! 🫶🏼

✨ Client Birth Story ✨
Madison was a first time mom to a baby girl and was super excited to meet her baby. Her and her husband were ready for this new chapter in their lives and shortly after finding out they were expecting they hired me as their doula. Madison went in for her glucose test and when the provider measured her fundal height she was told that she was measuring behind and referred her to Charlotte MFM. After her visit with MFM the baby was measuring a couple weeks behind and her placental flow was high she was told that baby was IUGR. After this diagnosis baby girl was closely monitored by weekly visits to MFM and her regular appointments at her OB office. Everything was remaining the same which was great.

At 34 weeks 5 days we went in for a NST and we were sent straight to L&D to be monitored some more and was sent home and told to follow up with MFM (her appointment was 2 days after) so Wednesday 9/11 we went in for her growth scan at MFM and after the scare she had Monday, the placental flow still being high, and baby still measuring behind we was sent straight to the hospital to have a baby. Baby girl was breech and with all the other complications Madison, Cody, & her doctor felt it wasn’t safe to do the procedure and try to get her to turn so she was admitted in for a cesarean.

At 5:45 they began the check-in process. They was sent straight back to a room and went through all the admission questions and being hooked up on the monitors. Madison had ate at 1 at with it being a surgery they don’t like to do the procedure until 6-8 hours afterward so we was waiting for that 6-8 hour mark.

During the waiting period we all three chatted about what to expect, who baby was going to look like, and all the things to kill time.

At 9:00pm they came in a become prepping and had dad change into his OR gear.
9:10pm they came and took them back and at 9:15 they started her spinal.

Baby girl was born at 9:44pm and is doing wonderful. With her being small and early she is in the NICU for the time being so this family could use all the extra prayers and thoughts. ❤️

Madison and Cody both have been amazing. This pregnancy hasn’t been easy and has been stressful on the both of them but they have handled every situation they have faced with such grace & strength.

I’m so eternally grateful that I was able to support this family during this time. Just a little backstory me and Madison have been friends since elementary school so this was such a special moment for me, her, & her little family. I love you both and am so proud of y’all.

Hi everyone! I know it’s been a long time since I have posted on this page and the reason being is I created my group while in the middle of taking 6 different classes & was in the process of being a surrogate which I just delivered my surro baby this past December. I wasn’t able to put all of my focus into supporting families but I am super excited to do so now!

With all of this being said I have to attend 2 births and support 2 postpartum families to complete my certification. I have my first one but am needing one more.

For the first 5 families to book me using my doula services you will receive a discount! Please message me with any questions or if you are interested! 🫶🏼
