We’ve been quiet for a little bit, not because we were not doing anything, but because we’ve been very busy preparing for our first edition of our Basic Peer Support Training with Joel Fay.
Since Wednesday morning fourteen dedicated first responders have been spending three days with us to prepare themselves to assist their peers in facing the stress and trauma that is part and parcel to the industry we’ve chosen to serve our communities.
Thank you to Cal-Fire Mendocino for the use of their beautiful Jesse Pitman Memorial Training Center in Mendocino County. Thank you to Joel Fay who carried the ball in rolling out this incredibly impactful training.
And in particular, thank you to the class attendees who first, chose to face the dangers and stresses to benefit others, and second, committed their time to learning how to support others who have made the same sacrifice.
Code 3 Mind Health is dedicated to promoting suicidal awareness and prevention, Mind Health, wellness, resiliency and education, utilizing evidence-based trauma treatment approaches in both outpatient and residential retreat settings for Emergency Responders, Military and their families.
