MOBILE FOOD MARKET:
Fort Carson is hosting a FREE Mobile Food Market on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Abrams Elementary School, located at 600 Chiles Ave, near Gate 3. The Mobile Food Market is sponsored by Care and Share of Southern Colorado and offers fresh produce, dairy, and pantry staples, and is FREE to Soldiers of all ranks, family members, and Veterans.

In case you miss this Saturday’s Mobile Food Market, it is open twice monthly. Additional upcoming dates: April 4 and April 18.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness month, and if you are 45 years old, it’s time to get screened for colorectal cancer! Colorectal cancer is preventable with early screening and highly treatable if found early. Let’s talk about the gold standard of screening options, the Colonoscopy! This procedure requires a day or two off from work but is the best way to screen for colorectal cancer.

COMING SOON: Child Care for Medical Appointments!
Beginning March 23, 2026, EACH, the Armed Services YMCA and the Pikes Peak YMCA are opening a Children’s Waiting Room to enable parents with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old to attend scheduled appointments without needing to find childcare outside the hospital.

(Note: Reservations will open on March 20, 2026).

Program Details:
• Available to active-duty service members and their families (Prioritized for E-6 & below)
• Provides up to two hours of supervision for children during medical appointments
• Reservations are strongly encouraged and should be made as far in advance as possible (Reservations available beginning March 20, 2026)
• Walk-ins are based on availability
• Closed on weekends and Federal holidays

Changes to DFAC Hours:
Beginning Monday, March 16, 2026, the EACH Dining Facility’s lunchtime operating hours will change. New hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday (Previously open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.).

This is Patient Safety Awareness Week but here at Evans Army Community Hospital, we focus on every day! Patient Safety Awareness Week is March 8-14, and the entire Military Health System is committed to excellence in patient safety as we care for our Service Members, Retirees and Military Family Members.

Did you know that EACH is one of 18 military hospitals to earn “A” grades from the Leapfrog Group. Overall, 90% of participating Defense Health Agency hospitals earned top grades. The national average is 32%.

PHARMACY DELAYED OPENING THURSDAY:
All outpatient pharmacies will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, to allow staff to participate in mandatory training. The pharmacy is normally open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, but has reduced hours the second Thursday of every month for training. Thank you for y our understanding.
