Hi. My name is Melitia.

Simply enough, right? Just an introduction, or reintroduction...

My name is melitia, and I experience high functioning social anxiety. I'm not sure when it began, or maybe it was always there in some form. I'd show up in social settings, over think and burn out fast, then retreat to my comfort zone in the background. The good news I'm more self-awareness then ever before, and now the cycles are short.

In the past social anxiety as aided in my depression. It's affected my connection with friends and family. It's prevented me from showing up the way I want to in my practices and business.

I will continues to show up. I will continue to be self-awareness, and take the time I need when I need it.

Stress begins when your worry list is longer than your gratitude list. Happiness begins when you remember to be grateful for the little things. Find something to be thankful for today, be thankful for the little things in life that mean a lot.
Think of the glass as half full, a postive shifted in prospective can make life experiences meaningful.

Research shows that people who take time to acknowledge the things they are grateful for are happier, and even sleep better.

Here are 3 ideas on increasing you gratitude quotient:

• Before you go to bed, write down 5 things you are grateful for then read the list when you wake in the morning.

• Write thank you notes.

• Focus on telling at least 3 people each day how much you appreciate them – and mean it.

Sit long and tall with your shoulders relaxed.
Bring your left hand to the outside of your right thigh, and your right arm to the back of your chair gently twisting your upper body to the right. Hold for 5 breaths (10 secs)
Repeat on the opposite side.
