In March, Tropic Air Rescue responded to a distress call from Scotland Cay, Bahamas, for an elderly individual experiencing a stroke. With no medical facilities on the island, our team collaborated with residents to expedite the patient’s transport to a Florida stroke and trauma center. Thanks to prompt action and early activation, the patient is now resting comfortably in the hospital. This mission underscores the importance of membership and timely response in emergencies.

Tropic Air Rescue was activated to respond to a potential stroke incident involving a member on North Eleuthera. We promptly responded and transported the individual to the stroke center in Fort Lauderdale. We extend our gratitude to the authorities who assisted in coordinating the rescue, including Bahamian Air Traffic controllers, the Airport Authority, and customs officials at Nassau and North Eleuthera, as well as Jet Nassau, for their invaluable support during this late-night operation. Additionally, we appreciate the ongoing support provided by the authorities at Spanish Wells Forum and Del Rojas. We remain committed to responding to our members' emergency needs.
