The beauty is — Learning to track your macros is a SKILL that is temporary to help you gain awareness & flexibility around your nutrition — eventually what’s super cool is you can wean off of tracking once you’ve reached your goals & BE able to structurally intuitively eat ACCURSTELY.

But even for me , a coach in this space for 7 years with MADDD experience tracking - I STILL will find myself OFF.

Tracking is now a tool for me to leverage when I need a BIT of dialing in ✅ and it feels NICE to be able to SEE the data for myself and not GUESS but actually know fo a FACT where I’m at.

When you want to change what you see in the mirror — do you change the reflection or yourself? 🪞

You see, a lot of us are approaching life by changing to change the reflection first — thinking it will make US change or feel better.

We take an external first approach.

Once the reflection in the mirror changes — THEN I’ll feel better.

Once I lose the weight THEN I’ll feel confident.
Once I pay off the debt THEN I’ll feel peace.
Once I get into the relationship or get the career THEN I’ll finally feel “good.”

And yes while these things do of course offer a sense of deep joy and accomplishment — once those first few weeks are gone by.. you will stil wonder why you don’t feel “whole” within yourself.

Because the external has changed but YOU haven’t changed . There’s a disconnect. & what I mean by “changed” is SELF IMAGE HEALING / Self concept.

And that’s all we really truly desire right?

Is to feel WHOLE within ourselves.

No matter if the scale is up or down.
Whether that guy or girl texts you back or not.
Whether you get told “no” a million X over in career or not.
Whether you’re in luteal phase or not.
Whether your skin is breaking out or not.

It’s feeling whole within yourself.

Being a Sovereign Woman.

You don’t change your life by changing the reflection 🪞 you change the reflection by healing your own self concept & self image.

💭 So, Lexi how do we heal / shift our self concept? 🪞 & change from the inside out ⬇️

1️⃣ Self Image Healing — Our brain 🧠 creates scripts on who we “believe ourselves to be” based off the past thoughts, stories, expeirences etc. I want you to think of someone you love dearly… feel it in your body.. now extend tha same love to yourself . Or your inner child if that helps.

Mirror work 🪞: Making eye contact with yourself in the mirror, placing ur hand up to the mirror and genuinely seeing yourself for your soul. For who you truly are. The greatest love is to be seen. See yourself. Love yourself.

stop standing in unflattering poses, stop wearing clothes that unflatter you & learn to truly love your body in all phases by understanding what is conditioning & what is unconditional

I remember the day where I questioned why I kept sabotaging my progress when I would do REALLY good… and the answer was something I never would’ve thought.

I rememeber walking into a Starbucks , asking God for clarity… and as I slowly looked up to the right , I saw this quote plastered on the wall word for word:

& it had me thinking 💭…

How much of my unconscious keeping myself small was ACTUSLLy everything to do with my inner “Nice girl.”

The one who didn’t want my light to shine too bright that it shined a light on others shadows.

The one that didn’t want to take up too much space bc it felt like if I took up space it took away from others.

The hidden intuition that the more beautiful, hot, radiant I became -/ the more I felt a weird jealousy, envy & insecurity from other women.

Or even just more UNWANTED attention from people.

So I stayed small.

To make others feel more comfortable.

Now I say F**KKKKKKK THATTTTTTTT

If you shine too bright - let emmmm fu**in burn 🔥 babe.

This is where we step into our dark feminine and OWN our power and intensity.

So yes building your dream body is for YOU — but be mindful of that subconscious.

Step into your power; your radiance and claim it — because while there may be shadows // you will inspire the right women to shine bright and take up space alongside you.

January was a lot of shedding and still is ~

The grief & sadness has come in waves 🌊 along side excitement for what’s to come and gratitude for what is already here 🤍

January was a stabilizing and reflecting month. It was really leaning into my social wellness (thank God for girlfriends & family right?) , personal wellness & also really solidifying what I want to build for the next 3-5 years.

This month I:

✨ Dropped my sister off at college
✨ Unpacked 65% of apartment w my mom
✨ Started a Substack 👀 and made new connections on there
✨ Stayed consistent with podcast 🎙️ & even hosted one of our clients
✨ Trained up our new hire who is crushing it
✨ Got back into Pilates 🤭
✨ Continuing to heal my gut 🦠 and really deepening my why within health & finess. Things are shifting for me. I’m craving deeper healing and meaning in my work and I think everything I’ve been navigating within my own emotional / mental health and gut/nervous system issues is moving me there.

February my intention isn’t any huge accomplishments - it’s just to be present in each moment, to be full of gratitude 🙏🏽 and to lean on my lifestyle systems for structure & support in my health 🌱 and fitness 💪

I move to D.R. In 6 weeks and my birthday is in 4 / we turn 28 and let the Saturn Return 🪐 begin … 👀

But not overnight… SNEAKILY… over a year or 2 and you’re back in same spot.

If I took away your coffee and pre-workout… would you still have the energy for the gym and your day?

If the answer is absolutely the f**k not — we need to look at your nutrition and your nervous system. ⚠️

Because scrolling on the couch feeling paralyzed isn’t a motivation issue.
It’s a fuel issue.

Here’s the science nobody explains clearly 👇
When you stay low-carb for too long, your body adapts by:
• down-regulating thyroid output
• increasing cortisol to keep blood sugar stable
• relying on stress hormones instead of glucose for energy

Translation?
You’re not “lazy.”
You’re running on fumes and stimulants.

So you:
• drag yourself to the gym
• slam pre-workout to feel alive
• maybe crush the lift

That’s not discipline.

The downfall of the high achieving woman is she thinks she can DO IT ALL.

From one go getter to another — you absolutely CAN — but NOT with YOU as the sacrifice.

The problem is — you’ve been unconsciously or consciously making your own heath and nervous system the sacrifice to your goals and desires.

Pushing hard
Setting high expectations
Only to burnout

OR reel everything back to where you’re not even making the progress you want.

So you start looking into nervous system regulation and all this stress management stuff & I’m so glad you are but…

Without PUTTING YOURSELF FIRST - none of that does anything.

Because putting yourself first means:

🍲 Makinf sure you eat your lunch even if you’re not “hungry” rn because you know if you don’t, it’ll hit you like a bus 🚌 later on

💻 Knowing when to put the laptop or phone 📲 DOWN and set boundaries within your work.

🚫🙅‍♀️ Telling people no and letting that be a full sentence.

It’s so much more than just tracking your macros - it’s a complete shedding of who you’ve been up until this point that has warranted the same cycles of really wanting your Goa and burning out.

Because manifesting you dream body doesn’t have to require burnout when you actually have systems, structures, boundaries & sacred routines in place that support not only your fat loss 🔥 but you nervous system and mental health as well.
