For our annual spooky season kickoff at PTO today we were joined by some special guests, our friends from the Karl Drew Center! We had a BLAST walking through each department for treats then voting on our favorite decorations. Ending the day with a dance party and lots of laughter!

🌸 We had such a wonderful time hosting our friends from Bloom Fitness, a fitness program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities! 💪💚 This was their very first trip to Florida — and we’re honored to be their first stop! ✨ A big thank-you to Beryl, Bloom’s Program Director, for leading such an inspiring and energetic session with our participants. Welcome to the Sunshine State! ☀️🌴

Since it’s entering the most wonderful time of the year, we all want to look our best!✨ Our friends at Paul Mitchell The School Fort Myers are kicking things off in the jolliest way by hosting our 2nd annual “Pathways Getaway Days” for the mens and womens club classes

Each participant gets to choose two chemical-free non-toxic pampering services each, while the talented Paul Mitchell students gain hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities, building skills to serve clients with sensory sensitivities and special needs. It’s a WIN-WIN with beauty, confidence, and community all in one! 🧖🏾‍♀️ 💆🏻‍♀️ 💅💇‍♂️

We are so appreciative for this multi-layered partnership and grateful that the Paul Mitchell crew loves PTO just as much as we love them! 💞

⛳ Thank you to the Tommy Bohanon Foundation‼️

Because of their continued support, we’re taking our Pathways Birdies golf program to the next level! The Bohanon Foundation is helping us expand the program into a leadership opportunity, where participants in the golf club will learn to teach others how to play — building confidence, teamwork, and inclusion one swing at a time. 💙

Mr. and Mrs. Bohanon are amazing partners here at PTO & we value not only their friendship but also their belief in action for a more inclusive SWFL! We are so grateful!

Happy chocolate day from your friends at PTO 🍫 You know we love facts at PTO so here are 2 as you celebrate this tasty day:

1) Chocolate (especially dark chocolate) helps your brain release “feel-good” chemicals like serotonin and endorphins.

2) Heart Healthy: In moderation, dark chocolate can improve blood flow and lower blood pressure thanks to its natural antioxidants called flavonoids.

The PTO Social Club enjoyed a wonderful field trip exploring the Edison & Ford Winter Estates in historic downtown Fort Myers! They learned about innovation, history, and the beautiful legacy left behind by two of America’s greatest inventors all while taking in the stunning gardens and riverfront views. PTO loves this community and are excited to explore every nook & cranny! 🏡💡🌸
