What a blessing and a joy it has been to welcome 28 precious lives in 2025—21 with Peaceful Beginnings North and 7 with Peaceful Beginnings Midwifery Care. So grateful for God’s faithfulness and excited to meet the babies of 2026.

Today I had the privilege of doing a home visit with a repeat client, and before I even reached the door, I was welcomed in the driveway by her two older daughters—with bracelets they made just for me. 💛

They proudly showed me their bedroom fort, a castle they built with magnatiles, the minnows they recently caught, and the seeds they’re growing into plants. Moments like these stay with me.

One of the most meaningful parts of this work is the relationships that grow over time—not only with my clients, but with their families as well. I left this visit feeling deeply grateful and in such a good mood, reminded again why home-based care is so special.

✨ Six-week visit with this amazing first-time mama — doing it all like she’s been here before. She prepared, she learned, she trusted her body, and she stepped into motherhood with so much grace. I always tease her that she should be in birth work… and honestly, I still mean it. 🤍
Grateful for families who live their faith so beautifully and invite us into their story.

✨ Six-week postpartum visit today, and my heart is so full. I love getting to know the big siblings just as much as the new little ones — watching families grow is the sweetest gift. Grateful for this beautiful, faith-filled family and the privilege of walking alongside them. 🤍👶🏼🌿

Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡
Today I’m giving thanks for the families I’ve had the honor of serving this year and for the beautiful way God’s presence shows up in birth, in community, and in the quiet moments between.

I’m especially grateful for my student midwife, Amy, whose kindness, steady spirit, and willingness to learn have been such blessings to me and to the families we care for.

As we pause today, may your homes be filled with peace, gratitude, and the comforting nearness of God’s love.
