She designs and creates all of the products displayed here and on the Easy store. You can purchase greeting cards and invitations or request a custom order to fit your needs. New items are added almost weekly. Her goal is to expand beyond greeting cards and include other handmade items as well.

I did a little painting over the last few days…. My bible! I finished the front cover today. Not sure what I’ll paint on the back yet. I’ve been wanting to paint this for a while but didn’t know what exactly I wanted to paint on it. When I sat down last Friday and started painting, I still had no idea what I wanted to paint. This is very unusual for me. I need a clear vision before I start or I feel all out of sorts. I decided on the background color, then originally painted leaves all the way around and left the middle open for the verse. But I wasn’t totally sold on it. So then I painted leaves on the whole thing, which I’m much happier with. (The leaves feel very on brand for me 😆) We’ll see what I do on the back. Maybe the same thing? Maybe I’ll wing it? But either way, here’s to God taking us down different paths and getting us out of our comfort zone!

I just can’t say no to a fellow loss mom. So many of you have purchased these multiple years for your multiple losses. I’m bringing back these season favorite ornaments. But quantities are limited and they’ll only be in the shop for two weeks. I truly only have what is listed. As always though you can personalize the back with a name and/or date. Praying for those who are missing someone(s) this holiday season 💜

My husband and I recorded a podcast! Dr. Stroud delivered our daughter via emergency c-section 2.5 years ago. He invited us to share our story on his podcast, All Things Women’s Health. At some point it should be available on all podcast platforms, but for now, it’s up on their YouTube channel. I’ll share a direct link in my bio. It was an honor to share my story (as it always is). I pray others will be able to find hope in it and feel less alone in their own experience.

I’ve had the opportunity to paint a couple of journals recently! This one I gifted, and boy was it a labor of love. I designed it in my iPad, printed it off and taped it to the cover. Then I traced the outline of each letter so it made an indent in the soft cover. After that it was finally time to paint. I painted around each letter so the cover would show through. I spent several hours on this project, but it was fun and relaxing (most of the time 😅). The things we do for the ones we love!

For my best friends’s christmas gift, I go her a gift certificate for us to do a private painting class. We’ve been talking about painting together for months, so I figured this would get our good intentions into gear! In all transparency, this is not how my painting looked when we left our session. I didn’t have a vision for how I wanted it to look before I started painting. And as a result, I wasn’t happy with it. So I went home and painted over it 🙃 I’m much happier with it now! God has been speaking to me a lot about hope in the last few months. He’s stirring up hope in many places in my life where it’s been deferred. With renewed hope comes faith, joy, and anticipation. If you’re struggling with deferred hope, I would highly recommend the book The Power of Hope by Dutch Sheets.

Im spending more time journaling. I want to remember the things I’m praying for and all that God is doing in the waiting. My old journal was full and I was in need of a new one. This is the first time I’ve painted with acrylics since July 🫣 I still don’t have a designated space for my crafting supplies but I’m hoping to be more intentional in creating art this year.

I realized after I shared that my Etsy shop was back open that I hadn’t fully explained it to everyone. I posted a poll on my stories but that was it. So here’s the deal. Thoughtfully Red is back but has changed. Most of my products will be digital (at least for the time being). As I create new things I’ll list them in my shop. However, it won’t all be loss mom related products anymore. And so because of that I won’t be donating all proceeds to loss moms. I’m opening the shop back up not a ministry but to see if this can be a means to help support my family. I feel a responsibility to be completely transparent about this because it is changing. My prayer is that my art would minister to people in a new way ❤️

Well it’s official. My Etsy shop is back open. When I completely closed it last year I didn’t expect to open it again 12 months and nine day later. But here we are. Some things will look familiar and some things will be brand new. It’s mostly digital art work but I do have all of my stickers listed again. I’ve also been throwing around the idea of selling ornaments again this year (but no promises). I don’t plan to post here often about it since I’m no longer solely focused on selling products for loss moms, but I will be adding new items from time to time as I create them. I’m curious to see what God does with my shop this time!

Isaiah 61:3 has been a verse I have clung to for a very long time. I used to struggle with heaviness. It felt like pressure on my chest all the time. So much that it was just normal. I didn’t even know it was there until God took it away. Sometimes it tries to settle back in but now I recognize it for what it is. In the midst of it God spoke to me through this verse. When I feel the heaviness try to come back I can push it off by praising Him. Our song writing team at church just released their first album and one of their songs is Isaiah 61. As I was listening to it I was reminded of this and thought someone else might also need to hear it too 💜
