Here we go! 🗳📚
What’s on My Ballot?:
Where to find it / How to Read it
Fort Worth sits inside Tarrant County, which sits inside Texas. But within those city and county lines sit several districts: 6, 12, 24, 25, 26 & 33. Because of this each Sample Ballot will have small variations depending on your district.
We realize the entire voter education process is a lot, from how, to who, to when, to honestly: WHY??
While our mission is to make that whole process simpler, knowing how to find Your Ballot and how to read it is a skill we ALL need to have.
Not only before hand, so we can do our research and feel prepared, but also for Voting Day, to get us in and out, as safe and as confident as possible.
The breakdown in these slides is based on the data from one Sample Ballot for one address, but for the majority of Fort Worth residents the structure will remain the same.
SO!
+ To download your personal Sample Ballot, click the link in our Bio & select the “Find Your Sample Ballot” option.
+ You will then be prompted to fill in your Name and Birthday.
+ Next your Voter Information will display. Below make sure the first Drop Down Menu displays the Election for Nov. 3rd, and then select your preferred Language in the Drop Down Menu that reads “Select Sample Ballot.”
+ Then Click “Download.” I love to print mine, and fill it out as I make decisions on each position.
We will definitely continue to pick this apart for you, and help guide you through the Positions on the Ballot, the Branches of Government they pertain to and what their jobs are, as well as many of the Candidates up for election. Our goal isn’t to force feed you politics or to tell you who to vote for, it’s to give you the tools to be a more informed voter and to encourage you to engage in the voting process at every level. We hope this post provides a good start so we can get out there and .
