🚨 New Blog for Clinicians 🚨

Not all OCD treatment is created equal and understanding the differences matters.

If you’re a therapist wanting a deeper, more nuanced understanding of how to treat OCD, this post breaks down key approaches like ERP, I-CBT, and ACT in a way that’s practical, clear, and grounded in real clinical work.

Because treating OCD isn’t about reducing anxiety, it’s about changing the relationship clients have with uncertainty, thoughts, and discomfort.

🚨 New Blog Post 🚨

Not all therapy for OCD is the same.

OCD isn’t just about “being anxious.” It’s intrusive thoughts, doubt, discomfort, and the urge to do something—anything—to feel relief. And while those compulsions might help in the moment, they often keep the cycle going.

That’s why the type of therapy matters.

In my newest blog, What Is the Right Treatment for OCD? Understanding ERP, I-CBT, and ACT, I break down approaches that are actually designed for OCD, so you can better understand what effective treatment can look like.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in the cycle, this is for you. 🤍

Motherhood and let’s face it life in general can make it easy to forget that you still have choices. In your friendships, in your romantic relationships, with your in-laws, your parents and even the way you show up for yourself—you are not powerless, and you are not stuck.

You get to choose what feels healthy, what feels safe, and what feels aligned with the version of you that’s growing and changing. 🌿

It’s not always easy, but choice is freedom. And you deserve that freedom.

Today was such a joy! ✨

When and I first envisioned what a birth meet-up could look like, we imagined a room filled with different professionals, all coming together with one goal: to serve the moms we care for better.

And that’s exactly what today was. 🤍

So grateful for the collaboration, the conversations, and the shared heart behind this work.

Our next meet-up is Friday, March 27 — stay tuned! ☺️

When real harm is happening in the world, scrupulosity OCD can get louder.

Not because you don’t care but because you care so much that your brain turns concern into constant self-interrogation:
Did I do enough?
Did I say the right thing?
What if my silence caused harm?

OCD takes values and turns them into fear-driven rules.
It asks for certainty in moments where none exists.

You can care deeply without being endlessly activated.
You can act in line with your values without proving your goodness over and over.
Rest is not a moral failure.

If your values feel more like a courtroom than a compass, that may be scrupulosity OCD, not truth.

If you were the family caregiver growing up, becoming a mom can feel both familiar and overwhelming.

You might love your child deeply and feel exhausted, anxious, or stretched thin in ways you can’t quite explain.

This isn’t because you’re doing something wrong.
It’s because your nervous system learned responsibility early.

Therapy can be a space to:
✨ Separate old roles from your present life
✨ Learn what supported caregiving looks like
✨ Practice rest without guilt

You don’t have to do this alone.

Save this if it resonates. Share with a mom who needs permission to breathe.

Virtual therapy available statewide

Focus Areas:
Motherhood & Parenthood
