People First, Cold First Recycling — Now on GoFundMe

After reviewing feedback, I’ve moved this project from Kickstarter to GoFundMe and refined the scope to be clearer, more honest, and more realistic.

The project now focuses on a people-first, cold-first recycling pilot. Materials are sorted by people first, then cold processed to reduce moisture, odors, and material breakdown. The goal is to improve recycling outcomes using practical, human-centered methods rather than hype or excessive automation.

The fundraising goal has been set at $99,000 to realistically cover both startup costs and the first three months of operation. These costs include:
• fair wages for workers in a safety-critical environment
• founder compensation for full-time oversight and coordination
• a small industrial workspace and utilities
• cold processing infrastructure (freezer and setup)
• equipment, safety gear, licensing, insurance, and material sourcing

This is about building something real, ethical, and grounded in reality—and documenting what actually works so others can learn from it.

It is with a heavy heart that today I shut down Nic-O-Spritz. Due to excessive laws and regulations a product of this caliber is not allowed on the market. You'll just have to continue smoking ci******es and destroying your lungs with toxins because Uncle Sam only lets rich people design products like this. It doesn't matter how intelligent you are all that matters is what papers Uncle Sam gave you that say your achievements it matters what licenses Uncle Sam gave you that give you your permission it doesn't even matter how perfect your product is or how well it works none of that matters the only thing that matters is that they pay the fee to get FDA recognition as a smoking cessation device or in this case because it's a nasal spray it has to be classified as a medical device. It doesn't matter how much it would benefit the general population. The only thing that matters is that you have money. Rip Nic-O-Spritz.
