You might look like you are doing fine on the outside, but inside you are tired. And not a sleepy tired, but a tireddddd. IYKYK

You get through the day. You keep everything moving. You handle what needs to be handled. And you keep telling yourself this is just how life is right now, even though you are exhausted. You keep going because that is what you do. You always have. 👏👏

You know, logically, that you can keep pushing. You have before, but your body keeps reacting like it is still back there, wherever there was for you. It tightens. It panics. It snaps. It shuts down. It reaches for food, or control, or distraction, just to get a little relief.

When fear or anger or panic keeps showing up, it is not because you are weak, doing something wrong, or failing at life ...I mean faith. It is usually because something in you learned how to survive, and no one ever helped it feel safe again.

Healing is not about turning into a different person or fixing your personality.

Adrienne came to work with me tired of surviving her days, disconnected from her body, and honestly not wanting to be around her kids. She had tried counseling before and still felt stuck.

What you are reading in this post is what happens when healing moves beneath coping, when the body is invited back into safety, and when God is allowed into the places that have been avoided or endured in silence.

Healing is not indulgent. It is foundational, not just for you but for your family!!

Comment DISCERN if you want to jump on a call to see if this is your next right step.

If you're here, you're probably someone who struggles to say "no." Not necessarily to yourself or even their kids, but when you get in front of someone of "authority " or someone you perceived as a threat (you just don't feel comfortable around them), saying no, is impossible.

You are afraid of what no might cost you if you say no.

It's not because you're weak or need more advocacy skills (though those are super important)...it is because you learned early that harmony kept relationships intact, that being easygoing made you lovable, and that disagreement often came with tension, withdrawal, or emotional distance.

Over time, the body remembered this lesson too well, moreso than the mind ever could.

So, even when you know your limits, your nervous system may still react as if a boundary is a threat. It feels like your chest tightens, you jumble your words, and yes or a sweet smile escapes before she has time to choose.

It is a protective pattern that once served a purpose and no longer needs to lead. 👏👏

Saying no is not unkind. It is not selfish. It is often the most honest response a woman can give when she wants to remain rooted, present, and faithful to what God is asking of her in this season.

Peace does not come from accommodating everyone. It comes from living in integrity with what your body, your vocation, and your soul can actually hold.

If this speaks to you, comment BECOMING or send it to a woman who needs permission to choose rest without guilt.

If you learned early that keeping the peace mattered more than being honest, approval can start to feel like oxygen and you can't function without external validation.

You do not consciously think, “I need everyone to like me.”
You think, “If this upsets someone, something bad might happen.”

*That* is a nervous system that learned safety through other people’s moods.

The work is not becoming colder, tougher, or more independent; it is about learning how to stand rooted enough that someone else’s disappointment does not erase you.

For many women, the real shift happens when the question changes from:

Will they approve?
to
Is this aligned with God’s authority over my life?

That reorientation takes practice. It takes support. It takes honesty. If this feels familiar, you are waking up.

Comment BECOMING if this landed.

Your sins actually aren't the problem.

Okay, obviously they are a problem, but they're not the actual problem. They just show what's going on underneath the surface.

Inside of Restored by Grace, we take an integrative approach so that you can really understand why you are feeling and acting the way that you are and why your body is having the symptoms it is.

Too many focus solely on the mind, or the soul, or the body. But, that's not how God created us. He created us to be an integrative person meaning that we need to also approach our health as an integrative process.

Interested in learning more about the process we use inside of Restored by Grace? DM me DISCERN and I'll send over a link to book a time to learn more.

That bone-deep tired you keep trying to push past is your body telling you something.

Most women I work with come to me living lives that are quietly out of order. Too many demands, too much noise, and not enough room to breathe, pray, or actually feel at home inside themselves. They constantly think they're doing something wrong because things feel SO HARD.

They long for a bit of silence but when it comes, it feels weird. They think getting away for a night will feel amazing, but they end up missing their kids.

God never designed motherhood, work, or daily life to feel like a constant emergency. When a woman’s days are in right order, peace starts to return on its own. She becomes more patient without forcing it. She feels more present without trying harder. Her nervous system finally stops bracing.
If your life feels scattered and you cannot quite name why, that is the work I do.

I just released a private podcast called Becoming the Woman God Had in Mind, and it walks you through what alignment actually looks like in a woman’s body, mind, and everyday life.

Comment BECOMING and I will send it to you.

Money anxiety is rarely about money. More often, it is about the fear of being left to figure everything out on your own. (Look at those learned patterns from childhood 💃✌️).

So many faithful, capable women are walking around with a nervous system that has learned to brace for impact at every turn. They pray. They work ridiculously hard. They try to trust God with every fiber of their being and yet their bodies still feel like EVERYTHING depends on them. That tension is exhausting, and it slowly steals their peace, faith, and physical health.

God never asked you to be the source of money. That's God's role. But, He is asking you to be a good steward. There is a difference, and your nervous system knows it, even when your mind tries to override it. When your body begins to feel supported again, clarity returns, decisions soften, and money stops feeling like a threat and starts behaving like the tool that it is.

If you nodded along as you read this, it's time to dig into what's really holding you back from trusting in God's provisions and allow your nervous system to reset so your faith can actually grow.
