The American Bully: The 4 Official Classes
The ABKC categorizes the American Bully into four sizes based on adult height. While their scale varies, all classes share the breed’s signature loyal temperament.
1. Pocket
The "compact powerhouse." Dense muscle in a condensed frame.
Males: 36–43 cm (14–17 in)
Females: 33–40 cm (13–16 in)
2. Standard
The "breed blueprint." A balanced mix of heavy bone, wide chest, and muscle.
Males: 43–51 cm (17–20 in)
Females: 40–48 cm (16–19 in)
3. Classic
The "athletic throwback." Same height as the Standard but with a lighter frame and more traditional build.
Height: Same as Standard.
4. XL
The "imposing giant." The tallest variant with the most robust bone structure.
Males: 51–57 cm (20–23 in)
Females: 48–54 cm (19–21 in)
The Verdict: Regardless of size, they are bred to be gentle, stable, and devoted family companions.
