With warmer weather around the corner hydration is more important than ever!
KNOW what you are drinking & putting in your body.

A lot of my runner friends are geeking over this post-run drink option that hydrates like a 'sports drink' but without added sugar, artificial sweeteners or BVO (Google it ... It's nasty!).

A heartbreaking image of two abused dogs appearing to comfort each other has gone viral.

A 3-month-old boxer named "Sammie" was shot, dragged behind a car and spray painted, according to a post on a YouCaring fundraising page.

After Sammie arrived at the Paws & Claws Animal Clinic in Columbia, South Carolina, he was immediately befriended by fellow shelter dog Simon, who suffers from mange and extreme neglect.

"Sammie accepted Simon's soft touch and was grateful for the love and affection that Simon showed him," the post stated.

Caregivers said it was a perfect example of how "companion animals do feel pain and show compassion for others."

Like with so many things these days, there are simply not enough long-term SAFETY studies and I don't think it's okay to use an entire generation as a guinea pig.

As a family, we do not use ADHD drugs for our son and are fortunate to have a family doctor who recommends drugs of any kind as last resorts.

Behavioral therapy, of course, takes more time and effort and that's okay ... we are looking for long-term success and not a quick fix.

We aren't always consistent but we are doing our best to introduce healthy habits like guided meditation, reiki and outdoor activities.

Let's continue to provide our kids first with TOOLS to cope and not DRUGS. (and I like the idea the CDC is encouraging insurance companies to cover the costs of "tools!")
