Most people think modifications are just “the easier version.”

Ehhhh… nope 😂

Modifications are how we make movement actually work for YOUR body, whether that means more accessible OR more challenging.

Your body isn’t like anyone else’s. Your movement patterns aren’t like anyone else’s. Your goals aren’t like anyone else’s.

So why would your Pilates practice look like everyone else’s?

In private sessions, we start by asking how your body feels in that moment, then tailor everything to support your needs in meaningful, immediately impactful ways.

Your body tells us what works, and we dial it in from there. No guessing, no forcing, just movement that actually serves you.

Have questions about how this would work for your specific situation? DM me. I’m happy to chat about whether private sessions are a good fit for you. 💬💕

🎉 Celebrating 100 sessions with Charae! 🎉

“I would have times where my back would go out and I would have to lay in bed for a week because I couldn’t move.”

➡️ Before Pilates, this was Charae’s reality. Everyday tasks (like bending down, pulling trash bags, doing laundry) came with the constant fear that her back might give out at any moment.

“I wanted to have a child, and I didn’t want my back to affect that. I knew I was going to be on the floor, picking things up from down low.”

🌿 That’s what brought her to Havenwell. Not just to manage pain, but to build a life without limitation.

Now, 100 sessions later?

“I can do all those things now. All of them.”

🏋🏻‍♀️ But it’s more than just physical change. It’s the confidence that comes with functional, intentional movement designed for her lifestyle. The ability to play pickleball, try new things, and move through life knowing her body is ready for it all.

“I have the confidence to go lift weights and work out, because I know that I can handle it, because I have the foundational strength.”

✨ And then there’s the Friday ritual: “Every time I leave, I feel like I’ve had a glass of wine. The endorphin rush is real! That’s why I go on Fridays—it’s my day to just do me.”

This is what 100 sessions looks like. Not just exercises, but a complete shift in what’s possible.

Here’s to the next 100, Charae! 🥂

What would change in your life if your body wasn’t holding you back? We’re accepting new private clients right now. If you’re ready to find out, let’s start the conversation. Check out our bio link or DM us to request your session 💕

I used to hate working out.

Every session reminded me what my fused spine couldn’t do. Every “just modify it!” felt like a consolation prize.

Then I found Pilates. Every piece of equipment, every prop, every exercise created endless variations. Variations that worked WITH my body instead of against it.

That adaptability changed everything. And it’s what led me to want to teach Pilates in the first place.

If standard workouts have never felt right in your body, maybe you just haven’t found the right approach yet.

Movement doesn’t have to feel like punishment. When you work with someone who understands spinal fusions, chronic pain, and complex bodies, exercise can actually feel GOOD.

Come move with us 💕

When the world feels like too much: ground yourself. In a literal sense of the word.

Grounding exercises aren’t just metaphorical—they can be literal and physical. When you’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed, sitting. lying or moving on the floor gives your nervous system permission to relax. Your body feels supported. You’re connected to something solid. You can let go, even if only for a moment.

This is something I do for myself, often, and it’s what I do for clients when they need it most. With the news getting heavier and our surroundings swirling with chaos, it’s more important than ever for us to find safety where we can. May you give your body and mind what it needs today, and may you reach out for help and support when you need it.

Love to you, friend.

In a class, you’re one of many.

In a private session, everything is for you, and you only.

When it’s just you and me for 50 minutes, there’s no dividing attention between 10 bodies with a zillion different needs. I’m focused entirely on YOUR fusion, YOUR goals, YOUR questions, YOUR body’s feedback that day.

We can pause. We can adjust. We can completely change direction if something isn’t working. We can celebrate the tiny wins that no one else would even notice.

That level of attention changes everything.

We have a few new private session spots open right now. If you’ve been curious about what this kind of personalized work could do for your body, your confidence, and your life, comment “PRIVATE” or check our bio link 💕

Over the years, I’ve learned that my own wellness, routine, and habits are non-negotiable if I’m going to show up fully for my clients. Here are some of the “rules” I have for myself:

1️⃣ I always tidy up and clean the studio on Fridays. Put props and springs back where they belong, wipe down equipment, vacuum, and water the plants. It’s a signal to my brain that we’re wrapping up the week—and a gift to future me to walk into a clean studio on Monday.

2️⃣ I book at least one session or class with another instructor every month. I love learning, and I almost always pick up a new cue or exercise I can’t wait to try with my clients. Plus, it keeps me plugged into the local Pilates community (sometimes I’ll venture out for yoga or barre, too!).

3️⃣ After every teaching day, I sit on my studio bench and take a few deep breaths to transition from “studio mode” to “off duty.” I visualize clearing the energy of the day’s sessions from my mind and the space. I’ve been doing this for years, and it really helps me protect my mental health.

✨ Do any of these surprise you? ✨
