We are very excited to share our second Crossbridge Hospice Call to Care spotlight with Senior Administrator, Ashley Schnatz!
Ashley shared her story with us below:
“My call to hospice happened 12 years ago. My father-in-law lived in our home and suddenly became very sick and passed even quicker. He was a man with a colorful past and a rebel spirit so when hospice came in it would have been very easy to judge him. We partied with him (per his wishes!) the last three days and the hospice team sat by quietly and graciously. It was at that time, I knew, I was in the wrong field.
A few months later, I stumbled on Grace and have loved it sense. My “stay in hospice” has been the family we have created in Cincinnati. To have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of so many and to do it alongside the absolute best team is something I will cherish forever. I stay not only because Team Cincinnati challenges me to always be better but because while we have a tough job, we have a lot of fun doing it. I am forever grateful for the people who I have worked with at Grace.”
