In this Mindful Art & Yoga workshop, you will learn to deepen your self-awareness and self-acceptance through mark making within a drawn circle (the mandala).
The workshop will begin with a meditation exploring our present state, and then we will use coloring, drawing, and mark making within our mandalas. We will create affirmations in the Physical, Mental, and Senses areas to explore our present feelings of ourselves. There will be a 30-minute gentle yoga class, and then we will have the opportunity to share our findings.
Supplies Needed: paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils. Rebecca Hargreaves is a 40-hour Mindful Art & Yoga instructor, using art and yoga to help students explore themselves on a deeper, more self-aware level. Mindful Art & Yoga is not art therapy - it is simply another tool that uses the creative brain to know ourselves a little deeper. The Mindful Art & Yoga Workshops are taught through a Trauma-Informed Lens.
