Methodist Hospital Hill Country, formerly Hill Country Memorial, was founded in 1971 as a small, rural hospital in Fredericksburg, Texas, with only 20 beds. Over the last fifty years, our hospital has grown into a comprehensive healthcare center, serving the Texas Hill Country area with a range of medical services, including emergency care, cardiology, gastroenterology and orthopedics.

Our team recently spent time volunteering at the Hill Country SPCA, giving back to the community we’re proud to serve. From helping care for animals to supporting the shelter’s daily needs, our staff showed that compassion extends to every corner of Hill Country.

Friendly Reminder: Methodist Hospital | Hill Country Therapy Services invites the community to join us for a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 2, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at 402 W. Windcrest. Families are encouraged to bring their little ones out for an evening of springtime fun, community connection, and plenty of eggs to find. We look forward to celebrating the season together and creating a memorable event for children and families throughout the Hill Country.

Congratulations to our hospice and family care team members at Methodist Hospital Hill Country for earning a Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest rating awarded to hospice providers nationwide.

What does that mean for families? The CMS Five-Star rating is one way to compare hospice providers, and it’s informed by feedback from family caregivers through the CAHPS Hospice Survey.

Thank you to our team members who participated in wear blue day for Colon Cancer Awareness month. Together, we are “knocking out cancer”.

Colon cancer screening can detect issues early and may even prevent cancer by finding polyps before they become more serious. If you’re 45+ or have a family history or other risk factors talk with your doctor about screening options.
