We are very pleased to announce that a new round of Peers just completed their 72 hour training! Great Job everyone! We are very proud of all of you.

Special shout out to trainer, Joseph Stafford. Thank you for all of the hard work that you do. Your willingness, and dedication to this work is inspiring.

The next step for the peers is to complete 500 hours of service before they take their certification exam.
We will be rooting for you all as you continue on your journey, and we look forward to seeing you all hard at work in our community! 🎓

MHAfred is excited to attend the upcoming 2025 Community Connections Expo! This all-day event connects individuals with free community resources and health services in the Fredericksburg area. Come out to learn more about what resources are available regionally. During the expo, attendees will have access to free direct services such as:

Medical Services

Growing Recovery is a team of voluntary Peer Recovery Specialists who provide virtual drop-in peer support groups throughout the week. The volunteers are grounded with a wide range of backgrounds and experience. They provide their group participants with the care and help they need to move forward in their growth and recovery journey.
