Today was our final postpartum visit… and my heart is so full.

Sara, thank you for trusting me during such a sacred and vulnerable time in your life. From pregnancy, to birth, to postpartum… it has truly been an honor to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Being welcomed into your family to support you, Steven, and your sweet baby Keanu, has meant so much to me. And watching you continue to show up as such a loving, present mother to your children, it’s truly beautiful to witness.

Sweet baby Keanu 🥹 watching you grow, be loved, and cared for so deeply has been such a gift. These moments will always stay with me.

Seeing your post, receiving your beautiful card, and your thoughtful gift card meant so much… but that sopa de pollo today? 🥹🤍 that was love. Thank you for pouring into me the same way I’ve poured into you.

It’s never easy closing out postpartum care… it’s always a little bittersweet. But I’m so proud of you. The love, strength, and care you pour into your family is something so special to witness.

Today was my final visit with my amazing client, and it was bittersweet in the most beautiful way.

As doulas, we walk alongside families during some of their most sacred and vulnerable moments. Then one day, our time gently comes to a close. This visit felt like both an ending and a celebration.

Right when I had been quietly second guessing myself and wondering if I am truly making the impact I hope to make, The Most High sent confirmation through this thoughtful gift and heartfelt note.

It reminded me that this work is not just about supporting birth. It is about presence, compassion, and being trusted in moments that will never be repeated.

I ended the evening surrounded by incredible birth workers at a Birth Event at , learning and growing even more. What a full circle day. To be reminded of purpose through a client and then poured into by the community felt intentional.

I am grateful. Grateful to serve. Grateful to be trusted. Grateful for confirmation when I needed it most.
To this beautiful family, thank you for allowing me to walk this journey with you. 🤍

Here’s a gentle reminder as we start a new day:

To the parents and parents-to-be:
You are carrying so much strength. Whether you’re navigating early pregnancy, preparing for birth, or settling into postpartum, please remember: you are doing your best, and your best is enough. Every step you take matters. Every moment of care you give yourself matters.

To my fellow doulas:
Your work is powerful. The early mornings, late nights, long drives, rescheduled plans, quiet moments of support, and strong moments of advocacy, they all add up. You pour into others so much, often without anyone seeing the behind the scenes. Today, I hope you pause and remember that your presence makes a real difference.

Whether you’re growing a baby, supporting a family, or simply getting through the day;
you are needed, you are valued, and you are making progress.

🌿 A Reminder for Fellow Doulas 🌿

One thing I will never do is compromise my integrity or jeopardize my certification to appease a lie, a misunderstanding, or someone else’s narrative. Our work requires ethics, boundaries, and truth, not just for ourselves, but for the families we serve.

Before accepting a client, make sure you have the full scope.
A smiling face, warm conversation, or perfectly worded message can still hide intentions that don’t align with your values, your scope of practice, or your peace.

Trust your intuition.
Honor your training.
Protect your credentials.
Guard your peace.

Not every inquiry is meant to become a client and that’s okay.
Your reputation is part of the families you serve, and protecting it is part of the work.

Stand firm. Our work matters.
