Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in environments such as nursing homes or home health settings and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a blend of personal care, emotional support, and practical assistance to ensure the well-being of those we serve.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Help with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during movement.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical equipment when necessary.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Support clients with dementia care or hospice care needs, providing specialized attention as required.
Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nursing home or home health preferred.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and long-term care practices.
Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions or preferences.
Background in social work or nursing is a plus.
Familiarity with hospice care protocols and dementia care strategies is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interaction.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings.
