Fresno Birth & Baby Doula Group

We are a Doula group serving the Fresno/ Clovis area. Providing education and support for your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.

We are trained Labor and Postpartum Doulas who are passionate about equipping birthing families to both make the right childbirth decisions for themselves, and transition confidently into their role as parents. We believe that parents should be educated on the many choices available to birthing families, so they can form an evidence-based plan for their "perfect birth". We help families navigate those options and achieve their goals through childbirth education, continuous labor support, a variety of coping techniques, positional changes, aromatherapy, acupressure, massage, and offering consistent emotional reassurance. We believe that a Doula's role is not to take the place of the partner, but to enhance the care given to both parents as they labor together. We know that the transition into parenthood is not always an easy one. There are a few of us in this modern age who are blessed enough to be surrounded by our family or close community who can both model newborn care and be readily available to help ease that transition. We recognize that in our current global community not everyone has their family geographically close by or with schedules that allow them to be available during this special time. We are equipped to not only help you plan for your first few days and months with your child(ren), but to be available to come to your home and be a touchstone resource and extra set of hands. Whether it is breastfeeding support, newborn care, postpartum care for mothers, nursery organization, healthy food preparation, or simply someone to care for the baby while you get a nap or take a shower! We want you to know we feel incredibly honored to be there as families are made. It is not a role we take lightly. We'd love to talk with you about your pregnancy, birth plans, newborn care plans and answer any questions you may have.

Every Wednesday morning something very special happens at the birth center. Our wonderful partner, Melissa Pickard hosts a mother to mother support group for our postpartum moms. It is a safe and welcoming space for mothers to sit together, drink a cup of tea (and spill some), feed their babies, and build relationships with other local mothers. We know that every outing with a baby takes work. We have wisdom, hope, and connection here, every Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Feel free to share this with any person you feel may benefit from community with purpose. 💗

One of our monthly birth circles is happening this coming week! Birth Circle is a safe place to share your birth story, which can be a helpful way to process your feelings. We love to create a space where we keep what we share confidential and offer open ears and kinds words.

Pack up the kiddos and join Casandra this week at Letterman Park for a Play Circle! The kids play and the parents can connect (if they are feeling like it 😉). The weather should be nice and the company will be fun!

Our Story

We believe in a better birth experience. We believe in a smoother transition into parenthood. We believe that our doulas can help.

We are thrilled to bring together Kathryn DiPalma, Melissa Pickard, Molly Parker, Melissa Grable, Lacy Chastain, and Meghann Scaife, some of the most trusted and experienced local doulas to serve the families of the Fresno and Clovis area!

We have been working together, informally, for many years. We have supported one another, attended trainings together, and backed each other up in our independent doula businesses. We have talked often of ways to better serve the families in our area. We have decided to combine our experience, having served hundreds of local families for over a decade. We strive to create unique doula support for the birthing families in the Fresno and Clovis area by maximizing the knowledge and experience of the group, while maintaining a tailored and personal experience for each family.
