Today is World Mental Health Day! Observed every year on October 10, World Mental Health Day seeks to raise awareness of mental health issues and highlights efforts to support mental health. Acknowledging the state of one’s mental health issues is important, and so is being able to seek help when you’re struggling.

Anxiety is a very real thing that can bring about physical symptoms. Anxiety also lies to us and tells us we are not ok and we are not safe.
In those moments of anxiety, ground yourself by taking slow deep breaths. Inhale for 4 seconds, hold the breath for 4 seconds, then exhale for 6 seconds. Your exhale should always be longer than your inhale. Do this for 1-2 minutes and remind yourself in those moments, "I am ok and I am safe." 💜
