Guys let’s be honest, the way you start your morning - how you spend your precious first moments - dictates how the rest of your day will go.

Here are my top tips for a better morning!

1. Have a morning routine!

Pre plan 🗓your morning the night before and commit to what you'll do and follow through. No excuses!

2. Work on your personal development!

Grab your favorite morning drink (water, coffee, tea) and do something that enhances your personal development. I listen to Darren Daily (link in bio). Then I read 10 pages of a self development (non-fiction) book 📚Sometimes I listen to a podcast 📲 or a lecture on a topic of interest with a focus on health, wealth, love and/or happiness.

3. Get some natural light and some time outside.

The easiest way to do this is to go for a walk. Avoid wearing those sunglasses 🕶 for at least 15 minutes. This will help wake you up! The walk itself will help lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels in the body. Plus your selfie🤳 will look bomb 💣during Golden Hour ☀️

4. Eat a healthy breakfast.

Much like what happens in the morning, the first thing you eat also contributes to how the rest of the day will go. Try to eat something high protein and balanced with fat and carbohydrates. Sweet begets sweet so if you have major sugar cravings, avoid a sweet breakfast. My favorite breakfasts include, protein smoothies or bowls with minimal fruit. The BEST protein powder is from and my personal favorite flavor is Iced Oatmeal Cookie! I also love avocado 🥑 egg 🥚 toast and overnight oats 🥣 with a nut butter topping. There are two important things to remember when shifting to healthier habits.

1. There is no motivation when it comes to things we don’t want to do. Set yourself up for success by surrounding yourself with what you DO want to eat!

2. Out of sight, out of mind! Get rid of the things you know do not serve you, and you’ll naturally get rid of temptation!

Being healthy is about “crowding out” the junk by filling your fridge + pantry with quality foods!

Today is a big day for me!

I feel so much pride, I’m literally near tears.

75 days ago and I began a journey that changed us forever. Firstly, thank you for joining me Adam, I’m so grateful ❤️ We each logged 150 workouts (75 indoors/75 outdoors) totaling 6,750 minutes, drank 75 gallons of water, read over 750 pages of self-development books, ate according to a healthy diet without cheat meals (even though protein tastes like a treat) and abstained from even a drop of alcohol. Every. Single. Day. No. Breaks.

None of the individual tasks were inherently difficult. The hardest part was doing them every single day, without compromise. That was also the best part! 75 Hard is NOT a challenge. It is NOT a diet. It is NOT a workout program. It is a discipline program that shatters old habits that do not serve you. It helps you develop great habits so you can be excellent in every part of your life.

I learned so much about myself and what I am capable of, physically and mentally. I am forever grateful to for creating this program. For not just talking about it, but being about it. For wanting more out of humanity and for guiding me toward personal excellence. I learned everything from Andy’s podcasts (MFCEO Project and RealAF)

I’ve wanted to do this program for over 3 years but I had all the excuses.

I don’t have time.
I can’t not drink alcohol for that long!
I could never do that.
I don’t want to miss out.

That was a bunch of weak ass BS.

The truth is:

I have the time, in fact I have never had so much time. I was able to complete all my tasks, work full-time, take care of normal life s**t, sleep 8 hours and relax on the couch in the evening. You have the time too.

Motivation is not a thing. Don’t waste time looking for it. Download the app and stick to it. Change comes from taking action-just do it. There’s no magic fairy dust. No one else can do it for you.

Do not put this off. You cannot wait until you feel better, have the time or the motivation to do it, that time will never come. You will naturally create the time, you will feel better and you will be motivated.

I start each day by listening to a morning video created by Darren Hardy. I have put a link 🔗in my bio, click it + sign up for these daily FREE videos. They’ll change your life. The purpose of Darren’s videos is to start your day off right with a nugget of wisdom, something to think about + positivity. Recently Darren put out a video called 3 Ways To Become Immensely Valuable (especially if you’re going through a hard time right now) + it really struck a cord with me, so I’ll share it here with you!

The Olive Tree has been used as a symbol of peace, prosperity, beauty + victory!

🫒Lesson 1: The Olive Tree will NOT produce fruit unless it experiences the harsh + hot winds from the desert in the East AND the renewing, cooling winds from the sea to the West.
The tree cannot grow to be hardy + strong unless it experiences the good + the bad.
🙌🏼As humans, we cannot realize our true potential unless we go through the good times + the bad times. The sad times + the joyous times. Do not begrudge these times.

🫒Lesson 2: Even when the Olive Tree has produced its fruit, the fruit is NOT useful. Its bitter, hard + inedible. It is only through the process of breaking it down through soaking, breaking, salting + washing that it becomes softer + cured of its bitterness.
🙌🏼We are the same. Our fruit is bitter too. Our painful experiences soften us, making us humble + grow our emotional strength, which in turn develops our wisdom.

🫒Lesson 3: What is most valuable from the Olive Tree is not necessarily its fruit, but its oil! The Bible refers to this as the “light of the world,” It is both the reward + nourishment that it provides for the rest of the world.
🙌🏼Your gifts are meant to serve others! We were all put here for a reason! We are responsible to find our purpose + gifts in order to be the light in this world. Do not keep your gifts to yourself. Find a way to share them with others. People need YOU!

you are the most generous person I know. You always trust your intuition & make things happen! I am in awe of your resilience.

Worried about carbs?

🥯Carbohydrates are frequently vilified but the truth is, not all carbohydrates are created equally. The right carbohydrates in our diet give us usable energy, allow for healthy digestion, and help support a healthy weight. Too many refined carbohydrates increase our risk for chronic inflammation, obesity, and type 2 diabetes.

🥯In a nutritious diet, most carbs come from whole foods while limiting refined grains and added sugar. Portion sizes of carbs help control caloric intake (rather than avoiding them altogether)

🥯Consuming carbohydrate foods with some quality proteins and fats helps slow the digestion process and allows you to feel fuller longer without that pesky sugar high!

Have a Bagel Day!

Wait, aren’t bagels “bad?”

Well, no and yes…depends on YOU.

First of all, no food should ever be considered “bad” in and of itself. Rather ask yourself the following questions to determine if you should eat a food or not.

👩🏼‍🍳 Does it, and it’s ingredients align with my dietary needs?
👩🏼‍🍳 Will eating it make me feel badly?
👩🏼‍🍳 Is it delicious and will I enjoy it?
👩🏼‍🍳 How can I make it so it aligns with my diet and/or goals?

So, back to bagels. I absolutely love bagels! They’re squishy, doughy, delicious and they’re the perfect vessel for all my favorite toppings!

BUT I don’t always love how full/bloaty they make me feel (and not to mention, that they’re really high in calories, for my body) AND when eaten alone they’re not that nutritious.

So here is my hack. Instead of a normal bagel, substitute it with a thin bagel. Add some healthy fats and proteins and BOOM you have yourself a pretty great meal or snack!

It’s time for Nerd Talk 🤓 This week we are talking about Protein!

Lately I’ve been obsessed with creating the most delicious brownies made from Vegan Protein Powder. I wanted to create a recipe that combined whole food ingredients that don’t spike blood sugar levels! I think I’ve created the perfect recipe for + I am so excited to share it with you. Swipe through the slides to learn a tiny bit about Protein + why it’s important to get enough of it in your diet.

Protein contains 4 calories per gram. In general, the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of protein is 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight. To determine your needs, divide your weight in pounds by 2.2 (to get your weight in kgs). Then multiply this number by 0.8!
