I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of North Texas and continued my education at Dallas Baptist University where I received my Master’s in Counseling. I have worked with Denton County MHMR for four years where I gained experience in mental health and crisis intervention working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have a deep calling to help others through life’s struggles. As a counselor, my goal is to provide hope and self-empowerment to those who need the right tools to live a more fulfilling life. I take an eclectic approach to counseling by combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems and Person-Centered techniques to meet my client’s needs. I am a Certified Anger Management Specialist-I (CAMS-I) offering counseling to groups and individuals of all ages. I also provide help to those who may need to fulfill orders by the court system. I specialize in, but not limited to depression, bipolar disorders, bullying, coping skills, marriage and premarital issues, self-harming behaviors, sexual abuse, stress, anger, grief, suicidal ideations, codependency and trauma.
