Be. Lioness!

Be. Lioness!

Pregnancy and birth awaken something primal.
A power that has always been inside you — fierce, wild, unshakable.

In the intensity of labor, in the surrender of each surge, in the roar that rises from deep within… the lioness is born.

She is brave. She is fearless. She is you.

Birth isn’t just about bringing life into the world — it’s about discovering the warrior, the protector, the unyielding heart that lives inside every mother.

When you step into birth, you step into your own strength. And once you’ve met your lion, you’ll never forget her voice.

“FreeBirths”
For expecting moms and families.

Please read the entire post first before you comment. And check the comments. I have made amendments to this post. Some of the post that I got have made me rethink.
No negative Nancy’s please.

Howdy all! I’m in the Texoma/DFW/Southern Oklahoma area (I have a large radius - up to 3 hrs. I’m right in the middle of Texas and Oklahoma.)
I’m beginning to take more “freebirths” - a home birth with no practitioner. Yes, I know the dangers. I’ve been doing this for 6 and a half years!
Anyway, if you have a client in my area looking for a doula for a “freebirth”, send them my way!!!

I have a pool, and all the things!

There are stipulations.
- There are dangers with ftm’s. But I’m happy to chat with you and see how your pregnancy is continuing. Not trying to scare you. Not at all.

- I won’t do VBAC’s - this is a hard no. Idc if other doula agree or disagree. I have been a doula for MANY VBAC’s. And I have seen them go down hill fast and them end in emergency C. I’m not trying to scare anyone. I have also seen beautiful VBAC’s. But I still am not comfortable with it. Please try and understand my choice. Because it is just that. My choice. I don’t need a tongue lashing.

It can always be different circumstances for each client.
I know many freebirths moms are against seeing any providers. And that’s ok. There is always wiggle room, of course. I just want to keep safe momma and baby and myself as well.
Ik that sometimes high risk doesn’t really mean high risk. One woman I talked to from this post said she was “high risk” because she was 36. We all know that’s not “high risk”.
If you are a pregnant woman looking for a doula who will do a FreeBirth, please send me a message or comment.
And like I asked before, please no negative Nancys!

For real!!!! I have 4!!!! bags when I go into a birth. A huge camping backpack on my back, a cooler backpack on my front with energizing snacks an drinks. And a huge ass duffel bag with wheels that I drag. And a bag with dry snacks and a change of clothes and socks and shoes (amniotic fluid in your shoes is not cool. Soggy and yuck!!!!).

Don’t get offended if I don’t invite you to the hospital to meet the baby.

It’s not personal.
It’s not about who I love or don’t love.
It’s about me.

The truth is, birth is overwhelming.

I’ll be sore.
I’ll be bleeding.
I’ll be figuring out how to feed my baby, how to get out of bed, how to breathe through the exhaustion and emotions.

The hospital isn’t the place for visitors.
It’s the place where I bond with my baby.
Where my partner and I settle into this brand new chapter.
Where I recover from the hardest thing my body will ever do.

So if you don’t get an invite, please know,
I still want you in our baby’s life.
I still want you to meet them.
But I need to protect this sacred window of time.

The best gift you can give me?
Patience.
Space.
Understanding.

Because when I’m ready…
You’ll get your turn.

And so much more.

- A Doula is there to give love and support to her client. Any way the client needs it.
- A Doula is there to show her client love and support
- is not to judge - I’ve been in the room width a murder on 2 different occasions!!
‘ n A Doula goe the flow during pregnancy, Birth, and after. She’s a jack of all trades.
- a good Birth Doula might think that after the Birth she is there to help the mother take care of this baby. That is wrong. In my opinion the Doula is still there to hold the mama and not support the baby. There are nurses and even the mama and the daddy and possibly a grandparent and so on will be able to help her with the baby. Ensure Sure, if the Doula is a certified breast-feeding coach, she absolutely should be supporting the mother through that. But the Doula is still there to support the Momma, even if she wants to try to talk about what happened. If the Birth went totally wrong, or if the birth was perfect, that is part of what the Doula is there for. Sometimes the Momma will want to talk immediately and sometimes she’ll want to wait till after she gets home. Either way it is the Doula job to go to her house or take a call or a Zoom and talk to Momma about how she feels about the Birth. She may not want to talk at all, Oar Oar she may want to talk in length about her birth. Us as Doula’s should be mindful that and not push them too hard, but always like Momma know that you are there for that. Like I said, this is just my opinio.

But like I said, these are just my opinions. You do you !

This is awesome! Most women don’t actually know this. As I understand, the uterus is about the size of a fist.
