And so much more.
- A Doula is there to give love and support to her client. Any way the client needs it.
- A Doula is there to show her client love and support
- is not to judge - I’ve been in the room width a murder on 2 different occasions!!
‘ n A Doula goe the flow during pregnancy, Birth, and after. She’s a jack of all trades.
- a good Birth Doula might think that after the Birth she is there to help the mother take care of this baby. That is wrong. In my opinion the Doula is still there to hold the mama and not support the baby. There are nurses and even the mama and the daddy and possibly a grandparent and so on will be able to help her with the baby. Ensure Sure, if the Doula is a certified breast-feeding coach, she absolutely should be supporting the mother through that. But the Doula is still there to support the Momma, even if she wants to try to talk about what happened. If the Birth went totally wrong, or if the birth was perfect, that is part of what the Doula is there for. Sometimes the Momma will want to talk immediately and sometimes she’ll want to wait till after she gets home. Either way it is the Doula job to go to her house or take a call or a Zoom and talk to Momma about how she feels about the Birth. She may not want to talk at all, Oar Oar she may want to talk in length about her birth. Us as Doula’s should be mindful that and not push them too hard, but always like Momma know that you are there for that. Like I said, this is just my opinio.
But like I said, these are just my opinions. You do you !
