Dementia doesn’t show up with a warning label.
It starts small: a missed appointment, the same story told three times, a little more frustration over “simple” tasks, a new kind of anxiety in someone who’s always been steady. And for families, the hardest part is often not the diagnosis—it’s not knowing what to do next… or how to do it without losing your patience, your relationship, or yourself.
If you’re supporting a parent, spouse, neighbor, or friend who’s living with memory changes (or you suspect they might be), I want you to know this:
You’re not alone.
And there are practical tools that can make day-to-day life safer, calmer, and more connected.
That’s exactly why I’m hosting a Dementia Education Event—not to overwhelm you with medical jargon, but to give you real-world strategies you can use immediately.
🧠 Dementia Education Event
📅 Wednesday, February 25, 2026
🕦 11:30 AM
📍 Frisco Library (Frisco, TX)
What we’ll cover (in plain English):
✅ How dementia affects communication (and why arguing backfires)
✅ What to say when they repeat questions (without sounding irritated)
✅ Common behaviors like sundowning, wandering, agitation—and how to respond
✅ Home safety tips to reduce falls, confusion, and medication mistakes
✅ How to create a simple care plan that works for your family’s routine
✅ Resources in our community (and how to ask for help before you burn out)
This is also for the adult kids who are quietly carrying the load—juggling work, your own family, and the fear that “one day something bad is going to happen.” If that’s you, come get equipped. You deserve support too.
And if you’ve been thinking:
“I don’t know how serious this is yet…”
“I’m trying to keep them at home, but it’s getting harder…”
Then this event is for you.
Who should attend:
👵 Adult children caring for a parent
👴 Spouses/partners caring at home
🧑⚕️ Friends, neighbors, church members helping a family
🏡 Anyone who wants to understand dementia before a crisis hits
Bring your questions. Bring your worries. Bring a notebook.
You’ll leave with clarity, next steps, and practical approaches that reduce stress for everyone.(Seating can fill up quickly—RSVP recommended.)
Let’s replace fear with understanding—and give our loved ones the dignity, patience, and support they deserve. ❤️
