📸✨ Scanning & Scones – A Fundraiser for NEAGS! ✨📸Join us on Thursday, August 14, 2025, for a cozy and meaningful day at the Northeast Alabama Genealogical Society Library! We’re hosting Scanning and Scones, a special fundraising event to support our 2026 Annual Spring Seminar—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
🕙 Event Time: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM 📍 Location: NEAGS Library, open early from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM for research
Bring your treasured family photos and documents to be digitized by our wonderful volunteers. Whether it’s a faded snapshot or a fragile heirloom, we’re here to help preserve your history!
🎁 Services Offered: • Flash Drives – $5.00 • Document Scanning – $1.00 each • Optional Colorization – $2.00 per scan • Learn how to scan and save your documents yourself!
🫖 And yes—scones, hot tea, and coffee will be served throughout the day so you can sip and scan in good company.
🎉 This event is free to attend, and donations are greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go directly toward planning an enriching Spring Seminar in 2026!

We’re here to help. Starting Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Nichols Memorial Library, we’re having a fundraiser for our 2026 Annual Seminar: SCANS AND SCONES, from 10 AM to 8 PM.

✅ Bring your items to be professionally scanned and saved to a flash drive ✅ Learn how to scan your own documents using our equipment ✅ Choose from packages tailored to your needs—each includes a flash drive and scanning services ✨ Optional enhancements available, including photo colorization and restoration Flash drives will be available for sale and the scanning will be $1.00 per page and if you want them colorized they will be $2.00 per page.

🎁 With the holidays approaching, consider scanning treasured recipes or family photos to share as meaningful gifts.
