Applications for the Loosey's Quarterly Recording Grant are open!

MusicGNV is looking to further its mission, helping to grow the Gainesville music scene, by offering support to artists looking to record new material through our quarterly recording grant. The Loosey’s Recording Grant will provide one Gainesville-based artist or band per quarter with 1 weekend of studio time. By the end of the process, the grant recipient will walk away with at least one professionally recorded and mixed song. MusicGNV will also hire videographers and photographers to document the artist, providing the grant recipient with photo and video content to release along with their song. The September 2025 round of the grant is an open call. It will be recorded at Black Bear Studios.

We'll be at Curia on the Drag at 5:30pm September 1 just like we are on each first Monday of the month, hosting Upbeat Unwind, a hang out for musicians to do just that -- hang out. No instruments, no networking, no business. Just a relaxing evening of coffee, conversation and peer support for musicians in the scene. And just in case you're itching to get back to the grind, we'll be done by 7, so you can still make practice!

We do a lot of sharing of information, resources, thoughts... but you know what we'd also love to share? You!
