PREVENTATIVE physical therapy treatment:
addressing strength, mobility and function BEFORE it’s a problem.

This is what healthcare should be: Keeping you healthy and well, not just fixing you when you are broken.

Hi! Welcome to Naptime PT!

My name is Kiri, and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy living in Gainesville, Florida! I have 3 crazy boys, the best husband, 3 cats (yikes), and a small solo PT practice. I love my family so fiercely, but physical therapy and my passion for this field comes just in front of the cats;)

Anyways, I have been working in outpatient orthopedics for 7 years now, but my path towards pelvic PT began 5 years ago after my first son was born.

Yall… he wrecked me. I will never forget not being able to walk well for 2 weeks after a particular run in early pregnancy, and not knowing what the heck happened. I will never forget at 8 months postpartum returning from a walk and peeing my pants in my garage.
And I especially will never forget my pelvic floor physical therapist, and all she taught me and encouraged me to learn.

So here we are, now 5 years later, with the knowledge to GIVE that I wish I would have had back then.

What started as a pipe dream while studying during his nap time in those first months… slowly became my reality. Friends started reaching out for help after their babies, courses kept being recommended, conferences were attended…

…and Naptime PT was born.

Although orthopedics is still a large part of my passion, pelvic floor physical therapy has become a mission. I have the privilege of treating women in any phase, ready to conquer a part of their life that pain or dysfunction has previously taken from them. Whether it’s running a marathon without peeing or pain, or enjoying “seggs” with your spouse again, or lifting your baby without shoulder pain… I’m here for it. I’m here for the tears, the joy, the chaos, and the fantastic adventure that life has to offer.

Why not feel strong and confident as you adventure through it?

Wherever you’re ready, I’m here to help you find strength in motherhood and beyond. Welcome to the journey.

💙Kiri

One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing the joy on a patient’s face when they come back, after a few weeks of hard work, visibly joyful after achieving a goal they set for themselves. No matter how big, the sense of accomplishment from doing that thing you love without pain or dysfunction for the first time in a while?? Nothing beats that.

Are you ready for that feeling?? Swing through, let’s get you reaching those goals:)

If you are interested in the yoga workshop, please dm me your name and email!
Know that if you can only make it to one or two classes, that’s ok! I will be teaching at the 1st and 3rd, the rest will be strictly yoga.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Im a little bit obsessed with the human body and how it moves. Nothing else fascinates me more. I would go back and do graduate school all over again if someone let me😅

If you know me personally, you know that helping people move better has become almost my love language. If you tell me something hurts, or something feels yucky during a certain movement, I have had to start asking the people in my life “do you want sympathy or solutions?” Sometimes people are just saying something hurts just to say it, not because they want to fix it. But if I don’t ask, then I immediately go into “fix it” mode and try to help. So… over time… I’ve realized, sometimes, that’s not what they are looking for; that it’s ok to just listen, too.

Because I love sharing the “why” behind pain or dysfunction, teaching has become one of the things I love most about my work. Getting a group of people together that want to nerd out with me? There is really nothing better 😄

I had a blast with these women at . We talked about how to protect the more vulnerable parts of our body while still lifting and moving in the ways that bring us joy, had a few laughs and hopefully came away as official movement nerds:)

I am just so grateful to have a job that I just absolutely love. Thank you to everyone in this community who lets me thrive with them! Can’t wait to do it again.

My final journey into postpartum has begun:)

Baby boy was born early Wednesday morning and we are both doing well! He is a squishy, snuggly dream and was born almost 2 lbs heavier than my other two babes😵‍💫

His entrance into the world was empowering, full of discomfort and at the same time very calm and directed thanks to hard work and preparation. Much different than the 2 previous births, I was prepared and knew how to handle the chaos. I’m very proud of my body and so grateful for the opportunity to do this safely one last time.

Thank you for all of your well wishes 💙💙💙 life with 3 boys has begun and I’m ready to embrace the chaos 😅
