We count ourselves lucky to walk alongside, provide education and support to women and their partners during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. More members to introduce! Holli with has been caring for families for over 20 years. A mom of three red heads, wife and teacher. Holli loves to garden, feed her chickens snacks and walk her dog. Holli is also a midwifery birth assistant for local midwives and sleep specialist.

Angela’s experience as a social worker has made her advocacy skills translate right into doula advocacy. Not only do her clients learn how to self advocate but Angela has also been doing significant work in advocating for the doula community. Angela’s home is filled with boys, pets and love. This mom of three boys and wife to a biologist always has adventure around the corner. Angela is a birth, postpartum, breastfeeding specialist and a DONA International doula trainer. She also spearheaded the founding of the Gainesville Doula Network.

Julia Rainer is certified through DONA International as a birth doula, she is also a Lamaze trained childbirth educator. A mother of three beautiful girls her home and work can feel her love radiate and overflow for her family and others. When describing herself she says “I am a lover of love!” Julia is currently taking birth and postpartum clients

Amy with Wise Warrior Doula services has been caring for families in Gainesville for many years. She is one of the founders of GDN and leads with her heart and generous spirit. Her background in counseling allows for her to have her clients mental health needs in view as newborn families grow. She loves helping new parents tap into their intuition and parent from the heart.

Another new member joining GDN! Vanessa Valdes Vanessa walks alongside families as they navigate the sacred journey of pregnancy, birth and beyond. Bearing witness, offering guidance, and holding space for the wisdom already within them. Her practice is deeply rooted in advocacy and education, ensuring that every person is empowered with knowledge, choice, and the right to autonomy over their birth experience. We are so glad you are part of GDN Vanessa.
