The Florida House of Representatives and Senate did not agree on a bill (which is fine since none of the proposed ones were based on anything scientific or logical).

The House and Senate could not reconcile their differences over implementing Florida's medical ma*****na constitutional amendment. Advocates are already threatening to sue.

Too many TENS OF THOUSANDS of Americans and others dying each year due to Op**te addiction, mostly due to prescriptions for pain control

"Since 1999, overdose deaths have quadupled," with enough opioid prescriptions for almost every adult to have a bottle. A routine course of morphine can easily lead to addiction, says Dr. , the U.S. .

He just sent us this letter describing our great nation's opioid addiction crisis, asking medical professionals to pledge to 'turn the tide' against by doing three things: educate ourselves, screen patients for opioid disorders, treat addiction as a chronic illness.

Yet the Surgeon General does not suggest an alternative to prescribing opioids. He does not mention that *****na / can treat many of the same conditions without leading to addiction and overdose.

In fact, at this time, Pain - chronic or accute - is a condition expressly Not included by the State of Florida as legally treatable with medical ma*****na. Despite research and age-old wisdom, the U.S. has reclassified ma*****na as having no medicinal value, while approving opioids for elementary and middle school aged children.

Face the facts, ditch the stigma, and let those who will benefit from ma*****na use it.
