Protein is an essential part of our diet and is one of the three macronutrients along with carbohydrates and fats.

Chicken one is the most popular source of protein. I know it’s one of my favorites 🤣It’s very simple to cook and can be cooked a variety of different ways.

It’s high in protein and low in fat. A 4 oz serving of cooked chicken breast is approximately 30 g of protein.

Here is a great recipe you can pair with your favorite healthy carb or veggie. A great meal prep options for a few meals during the busy work week.

BALSAMIC GLAZED CHICKEN

1 1/4 Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Mustard
2 Cloves garlic - finely chopped
1 Tbsp Rosemary - finely chopped
4 (4 oz) Boneless Chicken Breast
1/2 Tsp Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt
1/2 Tsp Black pepper
2 Tsp Ghee

Great to serve with a side of veggies with roasted potatoes or brown rice

1. Add Vinegar, honey, mustard, garlic and rosemary
2. Season chick with salt and pepper
3. Melt Ghee in non stick skillet on high heat
4. Add Chicken to skillet and cook on both sides until brown then reduce heat to medium
5. Add vinegar mixture to chicken, turning chicken every few minutes until chicken is cooked through and sauce is reduce to a thick glaze.

I enjoy quick, easy, and simple food options, especially when juggling a busy mom life while staying on track with nutrition.

One of my go-to options is Whole Wheat or Whole Grain Toast topped with Cottage Cheese, Strawberries or Blueberries, a sprinkle of Cinnamon, and a drizzle of Peanut or Almond Butter.

It's a versatile and satisfying choice that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with veggies.

With football season kicking off, a few years ago I would have ordered wings or pizza.

When I decided to start focusing on nutrition for not only myself but the entire family. Got certified as a nutrition coach and quickly learned how to make our favorite meal healthy.⁣

So today, one of my new recipe is buffalo chicken tender with homemade blue cheese dip and Air fryer wings.
