We’re grateful to have Jordan Boling serving as a counseling intern with Center Point.

Jordan is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Georgia, with a concentration in micro practice. As part of her work, she provides school-based counseling within the Hall County School District, supporting students’ emotional well-being, helping them build coping skills, and encouraging healthy social development.

Jordan takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, creating a safe and supportive space for children and adolescents as they navigate emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. She hopes to pursue licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and continue providing therapeutic support in the future.

We’re proud to have her passion and dedication supporting students in our community.

We’re grateful to have Katie Pope, MA, LPC, LMFT as part of the counseling team at Center Point.

Katie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths and work toward meaningful goals. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia and her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University.

Through approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy, Katie focuses on creating a supportive and comfortable environment where clients feel safe to share, grow, and navigate their counseling journey.

We’re grateful to have Suzanne Smith, LPC as part of the counseling team at Center Point.

Suzanne is a trauma-informed therapist who works alongside her clients to support healing, growth, and meaningful progress toward their counseling goals. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Addictions Counseling from the University of North Georgia.

Suzanne uses an integrative approach that includes Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic work, and EMDR to support adolescents and adults navigating trauma, mood disorders, life transitions, body image concerns, and relationship challenges.

And sometimes, clients may even meet Scout, her Canine Good Citizen miniature Brittneydoodle, who can join sessions to help create a calm and supportive environment.

Please join us in welcoming Luz Carina Covarrubias, LMSW, to the counseling team at Center Point.
Carina is our first bilingual clinician since relaunching our counseling program, and we’re excited to have her supporting clients and families in our community. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Georgia and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia, bringing experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, women’s issues, first-generation immigrant experiences, career development, and stress management.
Carina approaches counseling through Cognitive Behavioral and Client-Centered methods, viewing the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative partnership that empowers clients to build insight, develop practical skills, and move toward lasting change.
She will be seeing clients in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, and her schedule is currently open. If you know someone who could benefit from counseling services, we’d love to connect them with Carina.
