It’s a staggering reality: nearly 40% of high school students report persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness. Behind that number are real young people who need connection, understanding, and support.
Parents, mentors, and our community play a powerful role. Listening without judgment, checking in consistently, creating safe spaces to talk, and modeling healthy coping can make a meaningful difference. Small moments of support add up.
At Center Point, we’re committed to standing with students and building a community that sees them, hears them, and helps them feel less alone. Together, we can support their well-being and their future.

The holidays can be a joyful time, full of celebration, connection, and tradition. But they can also bring stress, big emotions, and pressure to keep up with it all.

At Center Point, we remind our students that both feelings can exist at the same time. It’s okay to slow down, set boundaries, and take care of yourself. A little intention can go a long way in keeping the season meaningful, not overwhelming.

Remember to step outside, feel the sun, breathe in some fresh air, and reconnect with nature.
A quick break can make all the difference; slow down, reset, and don’t forget to enjoy the season you’re in. You’ve got this.

The end of the year can feel exciting, but it can also bring a lot of pressure. It’s completely normal to feel stressed as everything starts to pile up.
A few ways to navigate end-of-year stress:
• Break big tasks into smaller, manageable steps
• Take short brain breaks to reset
• Reach out for support when things feel overwhelming
• Celebrate progress, not perfection

We’re here to help students slow down, stay grounded, and finish the year with confidence and care. Want to schedule an appointment? Reach out to our counseling team 770-535-1050 ext. 106
