East West Health Solutions-A Different KIND of Medicine

East West Health Solutions-A Different KIND of Medicine Acupuncture, herbal medicine and acutonics My name is Teresa Bruggeman. Diagnostics, imaging and tertiary care provide much needed care for ailing bodies.

As an operating room nurse and a critical care nurse for more than 20 years, I recognize the potential of Western medicine to save lives. As a human being who has been critically ill, I understand the limits of the Western medicine model. On the receiving end of the needle, the cold x-ray table, the painful biopsy is a person with a life looking for answers and hope. As an acupuncturist and an herbalist, I know, at the edge of Western medicine stands a paradigm of healing that takes a step beyond illness to find the beginning of dis-ease in a person and the seeds of wellness. Chinese medicine is thousands of years old and has the capacity to treat the body alone but focuses on the heart and mind of the individual and the uniqueness of their trials. My goal as both a nurse and a Chinese medicine practitioner, is to provide a different KIND of medicine. One that acknowledges the individual's idea of health and to provide opportunities for the best of the West and the ancient Chinese secrets of the East to work toward that idea. To encourage people to reclaim their identity and ease of movement in life. Lets create a new vision of wellness! Who's with me?

Our circle of influence for good or bad

“We all have responsibility for each other,” His Holiness said. “We all have the same feelings of pleasure, the same feelings of pain. This is not a philosophical viewpoint; we’re all emotionally connected. In order to feel that connection of compassion we need to have that courage,” he continued. “We have to be willing to be more involved, and we have to be willing to take more upon ourselves.”

May bring new meaning to being a couch potato with a quart of ice crea!

Why do we feel listless when we are recovering from an illness? The answer is, apparently, that low-grade chronic inflammation interferes with the dopaminergic signaling system in the brain that motivates us to do things.
