Check out this update from the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center's tower. The Horizon Tower is testing its color-changing lights and getting ready to shine in celebration of health, healing, and community. ✨

The hospital has been running some tests on Roy G. Biv. 🔴🟢🔵

Our Horizon Tower’s glass staircase features color changing lights with a control system that can mix and match up to 256 shades of each primary color. With 16.7 million possible color combinations, we’re setting up a glowing canvas in the sky to celebrate health, healing and our community spirit. Stay tuned to watch us shine! ✨

White Oak Medical Center celebrated the new year with the birth of the hospital’s first baby of 2026 at 5:53 a.m. on Jan. 1. A family from Lanham, Maryland, welcomed a baby boy weighing 8 pounds, 1 ounce. As the hospital’s first baby of 2026, he and his family received a special gift from the hospital – a large basket filled with toys and baby essentials.
