Dr. Turek attended the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences under an Air Force scholarship.
He completed his internal medicine internship at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio.
In 1988, he was stationed at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base working in the ER and later served as a decorated flight surgeon in the Gulf War.
After his military service, he transitioned into civilian medicine, bringing his leadership, discipline and care-first mindset into our community.

His wife, Patty also served in the Navy. What a team!
